Hello, is there a way to configure the SMS with a given template ? I want that when I create a new sms, it starts with a *T# by default. Thanks, Tex
i dont think so other than keep the *T# copied so you can just paste it. there may be a way in one of the jailbroken aps
How about setting up a Contact by the Name of *T# ???? Then that should take care of a lot of the problem. But maybe this is a dumb answer since I don't know what it does either.
You'd think the phone companies would make the SMS delivery confirmation message standard. And charge for it.
On AT&T, I have sent all of the ones listed on the site above to myself. The only ones that purge the info before the message are: *N# *NOT# *noti# I sent those to my own number, and received the text without the *N#, *NOT#, or *noti#. All of the others came through. However, I didn't receive any acknowledgment.
Would you mind discussing the delivery report related information in another thread. This one for example. I would like to focus here on how to insert a text from a template cheers, Tex
Sorry, I got off track. To coin a phrase 'You can't get there from here' I.E. - You can't do it within SMS However, from email, you can send it by emailing the phonenumber@carrier You could send an email and keep a copy for forwarding, or place the *T#, or *N# (depending on your carrier). In email, for AT&T, it would look something like this: (The txt in BOLD is your signature) To:7777777777@txt.att.net Subj: blank Text: *N# (You could insert your message here) Sent from my iPhone, Joe The only problem is, from email, the person receiving the txt msg can't reply. CORRECTION: Actually, it does reply by sending the reply back to their email.
