our theater was kinda lame. we had a couple teenagers on dates sitting in the row in front of us who kept telling us to shut up. i really have to wonder about people who go to a movie called "Snakes on a Plane" and expect people to be quiet. i really hope those teens didn't score that night. that's what they get for having lame girlfriends. other than that, what an awesome movie.

How could those teens do that to you  That sucks though, what was the greatest aspect about the movie to me was the atmosphere of everyone being so roudy, loud, and excited

Just saw it.

Best. Movie. Ever.

This flick makes Citizen Kane look like Waterworld.
It's the schizophrenic reviews like this which pretty much guarantee I won't bother to cross the street to see it. How a Classic (8.5 stars out of 10) movie, "Citizen Kane" could be mentioned in the same sentence with a B movie like "Waterworld", is troubling enough, let alone wondering what a snake farce has to do with either? Pass.

Citizen Kane sucked. I don't get why everyone thinks its so great.

Agreed.

I'd gladly rather watch "Waterworld" AND "Snakes on a Plane" than that.

I think the conditioning that's gone into making "Citizen Kane" a classic is far more severe than the genuine hype that propelled "Snakes on a Plane" to the cult hit its become.

I think you might be the dullest man who has ever lived.

Ah, so just because a film does something first, it's a classic?

Using that logic, I'll have to trade in my iPod for a Nomad - afterall, they developed the technique of playing MP3s on a portable digital music player first. It's a classic!

That's aside from it being a great tale of an idealistic man slowly succumbing to corruption.

i understand why it's a monumental film, and over time i've come to like it more... but as entertainment, it just bores me. i'm sure it didn't help that i saw it in class as an "assignment", etc... i slept through a lot of good, and bad, movies in classes... :p

Comparing Apples to Zen has no logical sequence into comparing the making of films. I thought you liked B&W's? Is it just Citizen Kane you don't like?

hehe..just snuck into to somwhere and scared the **** out of someone by yelling SNAKES ON A PLANE!!

One word; Awesome!

Although, at times it almost seemed they were trying to make a serious movie. Which I did not enjoy, I was hoping for a complete and utter farce, oh well. It was still incredibly enjoyable.

I was just saying that in the computer industry, something isn't considered great simply because it was first to market and in turn, a film shouldn't be considered great simply because it was the first to use certain techniques.

As far as B&W goes, I'm more of a Metropolis, Oliver Twist, The Most Dangerous Game, Fantomas kinda guy.

Well, I saw this tonight, and I have to say it was the most farcical, most ridiculous piece of excessively camped up nonsense I've seen in a cinema ever.

It was great. I haven't laughed at a film so much in ages. :D
