Yeah, I get the point of Instant Messages and pictures, I just don't get why you have to do it while looking like a bunny, fairy, dog, unicorn etc.

Well... my point was that the pictures and messages disappear as soon as they are viewed. That's what I enjoy. I don't know about this bunny stuff. I don't actually know how to make it do that.

Why are women always sticking their tongues out in 'quirky' selfies. Are they just trying to show how different they are than all those other stuffy women who are also sticking their tongues out? At least this girl has a clean tongue lol.
What a disgustingly sexist and ill informed comment.

I never get comments like this. Clearly to use this feature they will have to be able to afford the iPhone X and don’t need to have parties at a fast food restaurant and clearly Snapchat is still worth billions, so perhaps your concept of what makes money is not accurate. That’s why Evan Spiegel is worth billions and we aren’t. On a side note, those millennial women you think are so useless will be replacing us in the workforce and hiring/firing your children so perhaps a little long term perspective would be beneficial.
I am not prohibiting you to get emojified by Evan Spiegel or fed by McDonalds.
Exactly that in the Cookette-perspective on Creating a better World...is....so hilarious
Happy snapping !

Only for 13 year old girls.
I have no use for this rubbish.

I don’t know about you, but it has been amazing for people with darker skin. The filters never work for us in darker settings. This has been a godsend. Thank you Apple and Snapchat!

Aww I’m sure that’s not the case. I suddenly remembered what Jeremy Clarkson said about Sarah Jessica Parker..... “She’s either a very ugly woman, or a very attractive Seahorse”
Lol, I’m sure Jeremy Clarkson could say that about most of us average Janes before our morning tea or coffee.

I haven’t watched much tv in the past two decades, so I only have a peripheral awareness that she was on a popular tv show about single women. Sex and the City, or Sex in the City, not sure which.

My last clear mental image of her was as a cute nerdy teenager on “Square Pegs” back when I was also a cute nerdy teenager a year younger than her.

So I had to Google her to see what she looks like now. I guess I did age alright and held up well enough compared to at least one famous celebrity. But I still will throw a few filters on if any of the great nieces and nephews calls to video chat with me. We must think of the children. :p I think I shall be a kitty.

About time finally

I thought this was already offered hence why it was featured in early 2017/2016 was it not?

Oh, man thank you snapchat , now my kids will be bugging me even more for an iPhone X (and no they won't get one).

LMAO ... we'll not until late 2018 when you've upgraded or the price drops after October ;)

Only for 13 year old girls.
I have no use for this rubbish.

Do a search on Twitter for the more unsavoury underground ... you'll find it's women of ulterior motives that also use Animoji, and SnapChat. I've actually seen one foxy lady at my last work place use this and her photos was opened accidentally in front of me ... got shot a glance of "you didn't see that". I asked what was that look for? She's like you've never seen girls with masks on snapchat? I replied I've never used SnapChat ever - I don't see the point. Her reply "you must be old or not dating to get something something" ... then I did the Buckwheat surprise face!

This is this generations of Chris "Keep Your Daughter off the Pole"!

Ultimate warrior ftw.

I think that's what guys have when replying to women on SnapChat as an acceptance or come on to get ... something something. Feels really odd when your 20yr old son teaches you about how the dating world works (and it's not specific to his age group) ... very frightening!!

I’m so glad I couldn’t care less about Snapchat.

Damn straight! You and me both. And from what I've learned from my son just moments ago over the phone about this article ... I don't think I'll be using dating apps any longer - I'd cringe to see a woman post a photo with a SnapChat mask!!

Ive always wanted tech to get to the point we could legitimately see what we looked like with different hairstyles, colour, and online clothes shopping? ability to see it on yourself. I hope these types of things come soon.

Also snapchat is sloooooow in adopting this. Definitely not an AR kit issue, but to be honest I tried the 2 filters the have and was not blown away by it. Yea it looks better and less cartoon like but its still needs work and placement/tracking was a bit wacky.

Seen in Japan: an app which puts faces on the wrong bodies. i.e. in your snap with your friend, your face is on her head and her face is on yours.

^ Muhahahaha LMAO!

Dear lord it's a sad state the world of entertainment, focus and use of such a powerful, mobile and personal computing device that has transcended several segments of technology into one device has summarized our society of youth into a simple 2 part picture.

This is quite simply awesome! Picture of the year and testament to iPhone X.

But the other usefulness of such a device I just may upgrade even still.

Not every millennial needs to afford a 1xxx US smartphone at full retail price versus small fixed payments over a 2yr time frame on top of their monthly cellular service. ;) Heck even kids with a very small monthly corporate McDonald's plan could afford an iPhone on contract ... in fact McDonald's has one of the BEST contract corporate plans out there in terms of minutes, data, etc.

Valuation of a LOT of these social tech companies are super ridiculous! Membership numbers is the ONLY reason they're are and Spiegel are worth any sort of money - and most of that is via stock ownership being sold or owned as a "net worth" based on the stocks after the IPO initial offering. So yeah he followed his dream and made it BIG which is awesome. To be honest I'd say Miranda Kerr (his wife) is worth a LOT more every year they stay married and worth almost 80% when they have a child ... we know what happened to Tiger and his wife right? ;)

The scary thought is you're right ... those millennial women WILL be making the powerful decisions of the most valuable company's in the world ... many are already doing so at financial institutions. Time we get with their ***** program shouldn't we?

:)

I get that an understand it with the kids. I’ll give you an example of what I don’t get.... an old school friend tried to friend me on facebook. I recognised the name, so went to look at their pics and every one was with a snapchat filter of some description... dog, bunny, unicorn, fairy. Every pic. And we’re talking about someone pushing their late 40s. Kids, yeah, but.....

Whoa! That's unsettling! But it gives me ideas of how to freak my friends out if I should ever return to Facebook!
