of the day!

Bringing my wife's in tonight to have the back that cracked replaced since hers has the lovely star pattern screws on the bottom (found a replacement back for $15 on eBay. Gonna set a lockscreen password on it and turn it off before we go into the store. I'll have fun with them if they try and ask me to unlock it for them.

I've always wondered what they think when they see a completely stock phone come if for a repair or replacement. I'm sure they know that it was just restored to remove a jailbreak.

Yes because restoring a phone thats not functioning is a very strange thing to do.

What does the phone have to do with the warranty of the AV adaptor? They are completely separate purchases. He wasn't getting warranty work done on the phone..it was for the adaptor.

exactly, 1.you dont even need to own a phone to buy an adapter(dumb but you still dont need to actually own one) 2.what if you bought the adapter long after the phone warranty was up

Guys the genius was troubleshooting the adaptor and checked the phone to see if that was the problem. The policy must be whenever they look at an iPhone they must check for a jailbreak. The op didn't mention but I assume the genius did more then just check fir a jailbreak.

what if you dont own an iphone what if you are an odd ball that bought an adapter so when your friend comes over you can connect their phone to your TV, do you not get a warranty on your adapter?
