No. Either he meant 10.6.4, or he has a developer account and can test beta releases.
Also, with 10.6.4, my battery life has sucked. I can't get more than 2 hours out of my battery.
My battery is at 86% health, 340 cycles, 20 months old.
Just installed 10.6 on a SSD. 3rd party software includes CS4, Firefox, Chrome, iWork 09, iLife 09, Coconut battery, gfxcardstatus, Fugu, Handbrake, Startup Sound control, Smart Sleep, and Steam.
With nothing running except gfxcardstatus in the menu bar, I'm getting the 2 hour abysmal battery life.
Machine used to get 5-6 hours of college use back when it was brand new with Leopard.
Now, the battery life is equal on Windows 7 and Snow Leopard. It really is that bad.
