Well I have been desperately trying to find a fix to this issue, so far, nothing yet
I did however find a work around that may work for some people. I found that if you activate internet sharing as you would in 10.5 then restart the computer and leave it at the login screen, internet sharing doesn't seem to cut out. It's once I log into an account that I notice the connection being dropped. For whatever reason, I believe that there is some process or setting that is activated upon login that deactivates the internet sharing's ability to broadcast an active IP address to connected computers.
I truly hope that Apple addresses this issue with a system update. Hearing that Apple is not "officially supporting" internet sharing, is rubbish. If their actually not supporting it, then why are they including it in their operating system.
It's like buying a car, and realizing that the air conditioning isn't working quite right, only to have the car maker, say Dodge, tell you that they don't officially support "Air Conditioning" so "tuff-luck!" It just wouldn't happen! So there is no excuse for apple to pull this garbage!
