Hi wdlove. Yes, those two places were with the military. And thanks for the appreciation. Dittos for you.

BTW, "Visited" some other countries as well while living in the field. But those two places seemed to be the coldest that I remember.

Flew a lot of goggle missions back then as well. So up at night during the coolest time of the day. Invigerating!

You know, in Kansas we would bend the typical Army tent pegs when trying to pound them in the ground. They simply would not work. We made custom spikes that worked fairly well -- but hard to get out.

Survival school. Fun stuff. You rock! :D

Yea here in CT we have no snow, just rain, so much for a white christmas :(

I want to go skiing at my condo on Okemo (VT) but it seems i should be going out west where all the snow is.

I guess i won't be need my 4 wheel drive this year
 
Its to bad there aren't mountians around me, we just got hammered with a big snow storm last night. We ended up getting an inch an hour, for five hours. It took me forever to get home from work , what normally took 20 mins. took me 1.5 hrs.
