Anyone complaining that this mouse won't be good for gaming needs to think about the product and how it fits into Apple's scheme. This mouse was clearly not designed for gaming but rather for people using Macs just how Apple markets them: photo libraries, music libraries, browsing the internet. Gaming has never been a serious part of Apple's business plan and that is pretty evident even when you go to their website. What do you see on the iMac screen? Answer: photo editing, movie editing, web browsing. Apple computers are designed for people who want to do these things, not people who are looking for high powered gaming machines designed to handle Crysis or UT2004 or whatever. To complain this isn't a gaming mouse is like complaining a Smart Car doesn't handle off-roading well. It is not its purpose.

No doubt about it that ball sucked and cleaning it was a nightmare.
Cleaning it is easy-peasy. Put the mouse upside-down on a sheet of blank paper and move it around on the ball somewhat vigorously. The paper cleans the ball in a few seconds.

The major flaw on the MM was the scroll ball. The Magic Mouse clearly fixes this issue.
