I think it’s a certainty, in my experience my wife and a few other women I know feel the 42mm is too large for them.
Apple doesn’t need to shrink they’re market share by not providing a valid option for people.

Women? Heck, I’m a 6’2”, 180 lbs. man, and I highly prefer the 38mm size, because it wears about the same size as classic watches like the Submariner. I’m thrilled the screen is getting larger.

Are you saying that you budget for these products? This does not negate the fact that a lot of money will be spent.

Where did I say that my purchases would be difficult for me to afford or that I even need to budget for them? My point being that this season Apple will have new products for me to buy (I went 4 years with the Mac Pro 6,1 waiting for something to be released that would be an upgrade and 3 years waiting for apple and intel to produce a better MacBook Pro that was worth upgrading ) and that these products will cost a non-trivial amount of money in total.

The only product I have been able to count on upgrading annually has been the iPhone.

I’ve been buying more watches than phones the last few years, since Apple refuses to make another small-sized SE phone, which I’d pay just about any price for.

Yes I do am probably way more excited than I should be about the series 4... Haha. Especially after seeing that beautiful gold SS leak. If that is standard SS pricing I'll be getting that one for sure.

After three stainless steels, I’m wondering the same but the sapphire screen on the steels has meant that I’ve never had a single scratch on any of them.

If they offer a gold stainless, I might opt for that this year, but the Sapphire display is a must no matter what for the added protection.

I've been on the sport/aluminum from day 1 and been happy with it, even with the minor scrapes and scuffs.... However just like a week ago I dropped it on concrete next to the hot tub and it got an actual chip in it. All of that, combined with the fact that I expect this series 4 to last me for about 4 years, makes me able to rationalize the bump in price for SS, especially because I'm planning to get LTE either way.
