I love my Pro, though I had hoped that some of my favorite apps would have been updated.
Pretty much none of Google's apps other than Chrome are updated (Inbox, Docs, Sheets, etc.), Netflix isn't updated, nor are a handful of other apps that I use frequently. It feels a little silly to use this device when the apps are all blown up and pixelly.
Similarly, I wish more apps supported split view.
For drawing, Procreate is great for drawing on the Pro directly. For serious illustration, I still defer to Photoshop, using Astropad. My Pro has replaced my Cintiq for Photoshop drawing (wireless is amazing!)
The speakers are unbelievably good for a mobile device. I love watching Netflix on it (I watch shows pretty much every day during dinner).
And for taking notes, GoodNotes is phenomenal.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. If I didn't have a Pro, I'd likely wait for the iPad 3 before making a decision. We may find that the next iPad Air is a miniature version of the Pro, which could make it a pretty compelling device.
