No, It just feels like any other notebook that's just lighter. I run my display at 1680x1050 HiDPI on my 13" rMBP and I love how it's able to pack a 15" resolution into the 13" monitor but that's about where the "wow" factor ends.

Overall, I think I liked my 15" Classic MBP way better. Honestly, I feel like I should've gotten that instead of this sometimes.

Not overly wowed, computers are just tools after all.

But I'm still happy with it and especially like its screen and quietness. It was definitely worth the 2K.

I am too waiting for the haswell to buy a rMP 15". I don't need one because my mid 2012 MB air 13" does the job

I'm still pretty impressed by it. I have a 24" VGA monitor set up as a dual display and I can definitely tell a difference when switching back and forth.

24" VGA ? Is that right?? I would definitely expect a humongous difference!

I wowed over my GF everyday. Am I a weirdo here for thinking that it's JUST A LAPTOP?

You're not a weirdo. I'm pretty sure we all wow over our girlfriends but this machine is something we have never experienced before. Screen quality wise or a lightweight MacBook Pro.
Still my GF> rMBP any day but this machine is also gorgeous.

I'm wowed every time i open my lid on my 13 rMBP. Every time i open it i'm reminded why i spent the extra money for the retina model.

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. On some sites, it looks absolutely amazing. But when you see elements on sites that aren't retina-optimized, I wonder why I spent so much on a first-generation piece of hardware.

But it has trained/ruined me. Being use to a retina screen is the only reason I chose my 4th gen iPad over the mini.
