this is my first year not going, i'm a high school junior and just turned 16. sophomore/around 16 seems to be about the cutoff around here..

Plenty of my friends are going trick-or-treating tonight (as seniors in HS). I didn't go; way too much homework and too lazy.

Sounds to me like you've already had more than your share of candy this evening.

What really pisses me off are the families that get into their car and drive around getting candy. If you don't walk, you're cheating (incliment weather excluded) and if you can't walk, you're eating too much candy there Tubbsie.

agreed. you shouldn't drive. You can drive to certain place, then walk, but not get in car, drive to house, get in car, drive to next house. lol, thats bs.

I'm the one giving out the candy tonight... not giving any to anyone that looks older than me.

I just bought myself a bag of candy corn and I'm snacking off some chocolate my mom bought for the kids that come by. :D

I'd have given them something alright... and I don't mean candy. ;)
Them = ~15. Me = early 20's. No.

One of them offered to show me her boobs (what little was there) if I gave her more candy. I said I'd give her candy of she didn't. I'm not that much of a perv. My gf at the time thought it was hilarious.

anythings good... lol ... unless she was totally flat and had fur... lol

eh, I'm giving out candy if they bothered to dress in costume... if they aren't in costume, they're getting this look of "why are you bothering?"

Personally, I started passing out the candy when I was in Jr. High (7th grade) -- first at the church's "safe neighborhood" of plywood house façades (usually the weekend before) and then at the house the night of Halloween itself.

It's still a night to connect with the neighbors though -- we all come out with our bowls in-hand and say "trick or treat" to each other and swap some candy fairly early in the evening. (so it's been about 16 years since I've gone out trick-or-treating in earnest)

If your costume is good enough, you're never too old. Of course, once you hit a certain age, it pays more to take your costume to the bars and win big bucks. Then you can buy all the candy you want....or porn if you're lilstewart92

Yup, I don't give them candy.

But I do figure if you're willing to go through the trouble to dress up like a fool and brave the elements where I live (always have freezing rain tranisitioning to below freezing temperatures) I'll throw some candy at ya....regardless of age.

If you're a lazy bum and drive, I'll give you a "treat" from bag number 2. (usually nasty leftovers from my fridge). ;)

I'm in 7th grade and just went trick-or-treating. There is no age limit for free candy!

I offer some to the chaperones as well... about 1/3 take me up on it :) I figure they're doing the "responsible adult" thing and I'll reward them too ;)

I think that I stopped when I was about 14.

As long as the person acts responsibly and is in a costume then I don't see that there should be an age limit. It should be up to the individual.

I think as long as you are in high school or not a loser (like, have friends) you can trick or treet.

I love visiting my friends and going to random peoples houses and getting candy and then laughing at the person who gave us the candy because they always say weird stuff...

Dont shun me to badly but me and my friends (sophmores aka 16) went trick r treating tonight. It was fun afterwards we went to a party. My sister a senior and her friends who are 18 went Trick or Treating so i guess thats worse. Where I live it seems the norm. for people to do this.
