I hope you realize that your cat is more important than your computer.

+1 I have 4 of them. :D If my mpb hits the floor it's my own fault for not taking appropriate precautions. I'm the one with the larger brain. I'm far more concerned with the damage I might do to it anyway.

First of all cats are good for nothing
Absolutely Correct.
I lived on a farm for forty years. Never once did they came in the house.
They do one thing well, catch mice. That's it. MGM Studio's proved it.

You people don't have Cat's, They have You.

That Skank they spray is permeant.
Your furniture, carpet, laundry isn't worth 10 cents in a fire.

The most disgusting smell that degrades your whole house.
I inspect homes for sale, and walk out saying good luck with that.
It will take 5000.00 make over just to rid the smell, and it will come back in wood flooring.

Trade it in for battery filled RC half-track and joy stick.
Or a dog, at least they don't get hair in the toaster, and what ever else it did in there.
You can even see where it crapped, and take it for a walk.

Even if you didn't have cat to blame, you could of easily knocked it off yourself in your sleep.
Which I think is the true story here.
From day one, 3M urethane stick-on bumpers are on mine, and it's impossible to slip off anything.

Heh, best answer. I know my cats are retarded. I am ultra paranoid with my macbook, and expensive electronics and headphones. At no times are they in any precarious situations...

things my cat has played with on and subsequently knocked off of my desk:
mice
usb flash drives
iphone
cables

and she lays atop of my MBP after a long day of 'clamshell' mode.

Things one of my previous cats had played with and then brought up to my bedroom at three am to show me she hadn't really harmed them:

mice
voles
shrews
one 14-inch long grass snake

That cat died of natural causes but the snake gig was definitely the end of her presumed right to evening romps outdoors. I took the snake downstairs and outside and cut it loose with a lecture about how lucky it was, and then began closing the catdoor at dusk. Nowadays my cats are indoors-only because of an increase in coyotes and fisher-cats (which are not cats but are related to badgers, and are really nasty critters) in this area.

My two current cats have left my computers and peripherals alone. They like very small stuff like the plastic strips that attach the caps of milk bottles, and they will play hockey with any of those little plastic end-caps that come on Apple iPod cables, but at least they stay clear of cables, wires and keyboards. I have a couple of those really small USB drives that look like part of a Lego set or something. I know I'm asking for trouble if I ever leave one of those on a desk!

Wow this sure as heck got off topic quick:D:D Yeah it really was my own dumbass fault. I should have taken a pic of the screen it was like looking at a tv when you've done waaaaayyy too much acid(not that I have ever done it). It was like all the colors just shifted slightly from where they where supposed to be. My repair guy said he has never seen one do what this one did:cool:

Yes and I am also extremely paranoid about my MacBook. I guess thats why I was in shock when it happened. Oh well live and learn. I called today and looks like it will be done tomorrow . I have had serious withdraw for a few days. Besides using my wifes pink MacBook is making me feel insecure :D:D
