I've had mine for about a week now, and I absolutely love it. I could care less about the right button. I've been using a 1 button mouse, and I can clearly see that Apple's design was to make sure that people who are used to their existing mouse still feel comfortable and those who wish to have 2 buttons are given the option. As for the scroll wheel, it's a bit weird at first, but once you adapt it's totally natural. Small enough to be out of the way when you're not using it, responsive, and it has a nice feel. I think anyone who's used to Apple's Pro mouse who wants either a 2nd button or a scroll wheel will love it, and anyone who's already got an aftermarket mouse will hate it.

Why? What's wrong with the keyboard?

Membrane Keyboards. For when you just don't care enough to have extra production steps.

Little moisture, keyboard is dead. Won't be coming back. Supposedly you can soak them in distilled water, and i've taken at least 8 apart (cleaning each sheet/thing in distilled) and only managed to bring 1 back from a simple water spill. The open-top design of the keyboards, again to keep production steps down, catches dirt/dust/grime much worse than any other keyboard I've used. Not only is it very visible in clear plastic, but the dust mixes with spilled water, which is probably why drying them out won't help. Dirty water leaves dirty residue, which screws with membrane keyboards.

Sure you shouldn't be drinking over a keyboard anyway. But people do. and i've never seen a worse keyboard than Apple's when it happens.

And if you get the keyboard to work for say, a year without any spills, the keys will be so worn out, they'll be way less springy, and some may squeak. Apple: Top of the line computers, but buy peripherals elsewhere.

That said, I'm hopeful for the Mighty Mouse, haven't used one myself yet... The question I have, maybe it's been answered, is do the squeeze buttons work independently, or both/either do the same thing? If it's the latter... stupid Apple ;)

don't begrudge the lack of BT tho, because i tend to use my mouse on a flat surface within a few feet of my computer, the wire doesn't interfere much... I'm guessing all you guys either have laptops or use your faces as mousepads?

It's interesting to see a wide range of opinions of the Mighty Mouse. Guess I'll to try it out for myself to see how it really is.

Why? What's wrong with the keyboard?

the keyboards keys are not good compared with a very good PC keyboard

i tried the mighty mouse out the day it was announced, i went to the local store. personally i thought the scroll ball was pretty cool, but i don't really care for the side buttons.

thanks apple, but i will be keeping my microsoft mouse.

Bought myself the mighty mouse about two weeks ago, and it works fine. Side buttons work fine, and I love the scrolling. I didn't like how I had to lift my left finger to right click, but I've gotten used to it. Overall a functional mouse, but I wish I hadn't paid nearly $50 for it. Eh, anything to make my desk look nicer. Concerning ergonomics, the mouse feels fine. I'm relatively young, though, so if you're 50 years old and work in a cubicle, the story might be different...

Overall, the Mighty Mouse is a decent mouse in terms of its performance. However, compard to MX510 (or MX 1000), the Mighty Mouse is not up to their accuracy in tracking. I could not resist buying the Mighty Mouse because of its design. I am using it with my Ti PB while my 12" PB (which I use more than Ti PB) is hooked up with a MX510.
