yeah my current girlfriend is getting tired of seeing it lol....and i'm tired of hearing it lmao:p:p:p

Do you keep it on a chain around your neck?
If you don't want it around just give it to someone you can trust to keep safe for you till you get the paperwork sorted out.

If she gave the ring back to you but is witholding the "paperwork" then you can take her to court.

she is a manipulative sponge who cons her way in and out of everything. She is so far in debt with me it's not even funny. She is just a horrible person...
Especially as she seems to be an untrustworthy person, judging from your posts… you'd have a fair case against her.

Srsly... I glossed over it too, but I don't understand the whole "my current girlfriend doesn't want it around" thing either. So this is, what, originally, from your estimate, about a $2300-2500 ring. If you're not happy with any of your current options with respect to it, just put it in a safe deposit box or squirrel it away somewhere with other valuables or give it to a family member for safe holding.

It's one thing to "con your way out of everything," another to con your way in front of a judge. Because the paperwork is essential to establishing ownership, she's costing you the $2k you spent, plus whatever loss in value as time marches on. You'll get the paperwork.

The engraving on the other hand, I expect is personalized and does mean that you will take a serious hit on the value.

He could just get it remounted. It would cost a bit though but I bet he could also have the jeweler add some side stones and have a brand new ring.

If the OP is hellbent on pawning it, he can always bring it next door to Alabama. All you need to pawn something here is your driver's license.

Honestly, I would consult with a free lawyer, get a printout of what you can do/charge her with, then go up to your ex and hand it to her. Tell her if she doesn't give you the paperwork, she better be prepared to face you in court. It's ridiculous for her to hold the paperwork especially if she gave you back the ring, and more so if she caused you to be in debt.
She's probably just not giving the paperwork because she wants to be a b**** and think she can get away with it. Once you actually hit back, she will deflate in front of your eyes.

I would take her to court but unfortunately she is a manipulative sponge who cons her way in and out of everything. She is so far in debt with me it's not even funny. She is just a horrible person...and I'd like to sell this ring to help pay off some of the debt that she cause me :confused:

Sorry to hear that. I know the type; I have encountered this species of shrew earlier in life and through friends. The shrew tends to suck all monetary resources from you then start syphoning off your soul until the brain implodes and the victim may turn into a zombie. Fortunately there are ways to deal with the affliction such as hanging out with REAL friends, drinking beer and attending as many sporting events as possible.

Seriously, try any way you can. First try to estimate the value then see what the market is doing and go for it.

Best regards and well wishes.
