So I just got the new 4s, which apps should I not do without as far as funtionality?
(example: anything make the video and camera better to manage)?

Same curious as to some must have apps. Not those apps that are just a craze for a few days. and angry birds is old already!

waze, realtime crowd sourced (as far as traffic, construction etc) free gps navigation.

and 2nd for Tunein radio, nothing like feeling like you're in tokyo while stuck in traffic :)

What I use a lot

Navigation - Waze
Maps - Google Maps / Google Earth
Photography - Pano / Snapseed / PS Express / PictureSafe / Color Effects
Games - Plants vs Zombies / Angry Birds / Scrabble / Bejeweled 2 / Skee Ball
Media - SoundHound / Pandora / NetFlix / Zinio
Instant Messaging - IMO
Shopping - RedLaser / Craigslist
Books - Kindle, iBooks
Files - Transfer (transfer photos, etc between iPhone, iPad, PC/Mac over wifi)
Tracking - Cell Tracker / Flight Tracker

Alien blue
Facebook
Twitter
Instagram
Newsrack

And of course Find my Friends for wife tracking :)

If you really have to use your cellphone to track your wife, then it might be time to put the cell phone down and have a serious conversation with your partner about the future of your relationship.

Agreed although me and my wife use it for more legitimate purposes lol. She doesn't do left or right :p . So when I can just send her my location she can find me a lot easier :)

Free:
Instagram
Remote(lets you control apple tv or itunes from your iphone/ipod/ipad)
Speedtest.net(awesome app for testing your cell speed and wifi speed)
Box.net(iOS 5 users get 50gb for free,limited time only)
Addicting Games(app from Addictinggames.com with lots of their games)

Paid:
Camera+(not as useful now since iOS 5 added grid and other stuff, but still fun)
Burn The Rope(fun game using accelerometer)

I like my women to be politically active, so that'd never work for me.

Reeder - Awesome for RSS feeds
Evernote
LOL Pics
JotNot Pro
Plants vs Zombies, Words w/Friends, Tiny Wings, Zombie Hwy

I like Angry Birds. That's pretty much the only App I have right now.

And don't get Mexiball, that's just stupid. :p

Like photo stream ?

Assume this question references my suggestion for PhotoSync app to sync videos - It's not exactly like photostream (of course photostream works only for photos, not videos). PhotoSync syncs directly to a host computer, not to the cloud.

I'd love to see videos supported with PhotoStream but until that happens, the PhotoSync app is a good solution for them.

First, Camera+ is my absolute all-star camera app. Mostly because it lets you edit your photos after you take them with a UI that is a pleasure to use. I couldn't do without this app personally.

Productivity - Not sure what your needs are here, but Dropbox (cloud storage for any file) and Evernote (Cloud-based note taking app) are phenomenal.

News - I have the CNN app, which is cool if you have a cable subscription because you can plug in your info and it actually livestreams CNN to your phone. So if **** is going down you can see what's up :p I'd only watch when there is actually interesting news breaking though, since cable-news rots your brain as everybody knows...

Audio - TuneIn Radio is a web-based internet radio app that does it slightly better than the myriad of other choices. They break it down into categories really well, but they also have the 'local station' section front and center for regional news. Has 'sleep timer' settings and all sorts of other crap like that. Good app.

-Shazam and SoundHound. You know, -you hit the button while a song is playing and it tells you what it is, gives you lyrics, and lets you buy it. I have both cause sometimes one will identify a song that the other can't seem to.

Utilities - Skype. Let's you video call over 3g without needing wifi like facetime does (or need the other person to have facetime installed).

-RedLaser lets you scan product barcodes and instantly compare prices. Hell yes.

-Scan lets you scan QR codes. Becoming more and more useful, I'm not sure off the top of my head if RedLaser doe QR codes as well. It probably does...

-Yelp, The best recommendation engine in existence.

Other Stuff - Google Earth. An entire real-time world atlas on your phone.

I have plenty of others, but those are the ones I would not do without.

EDIT: How the hell did I leave Pandora off? Also, Slacker is the same as Pandora, but gives you a slightly different music selection. I use both.
