....well, actually £999 on a silver iPhone X. I didn't even need it already owning an iPhone 8 and a Samsung S8.

Now I can't decide what to do; I don't need 3 phones but whether to sell the S8 (which I like because of its microSD slot) or to sell the little iPhone 8 which I also love. Or to run with all 3.

What would you do?

A fellow Scot!

Yes, I probably do have a problem; I really can't decide which to sell, the S8 or the iPhone 8 - I would probably get more for the iPhone but like the idea of selling the Samsung and having 2 iPhones in different sizes.

Perhaps sell the 4.7 iPhone 8, that way you can still have an android device if you want to switch when necessary and then go back to the iPhone X.

If you need two phones then there are advantages to them both being iOS as they'll share the same contacts, messages, etc. and you'll only have to buy Apps once (providing you're logged into the same Apple ID on both).

Yes, I like the idea of 2 iPhones but also keeping a toe in the waters of android. But there's something about the quality of the S8 being near to but not up to Apple standards.
I want to ideally do this today, i.e. wipe one of the phones ready to sell. Meanwhile, I have to buy a case for the X.

Is there a reason why you need three phones?

I don't need 3 phones, just the 8 and the X; I'm perfectly content to ditch android for the foreseeable future.

Depends on his needs and what usages there are. I'm still wondering why does he still "need" three phones.
Good Android and good iPhone makes sense. I currently use an s8 with a cracked screen for my music player and an 8 plus for my phone with a Sim card in it.

Quick question, why use a Samsung phone as music player? Headphone jack?
No, because of the SD card. I have a 128gb card filled with music and movies/videos. My 8 plus is only 64gb.

I also have an older $399 Moto phone that used to be my media player. The s8 screen cracked, and to fix it makes no sense when a screen is damn near what the phone is worth now.

No, I didn't use anything but Bluetooth on it; I liked the idea of a large storage space via microSD but found myself streaming so much that it didn't matter. The S8 was a good phone but below Apple in terms of quality.

Then why not a 256 GB iPhone? Should hold quite the music and media space.

Then, why not switch to a large capacity iPhone? Saves time and the hassle of loosing the SD cards.

I'm going to get a 256 x+. I know the 8 plus is just to get me to September, and a 64gb should be easier to sell. Doesn't seem like the 256 gives you as much of a return when you sell it.

Larger iPhones are never meant for resale from original owners. They never return good $$ for the initial investment. Those iPhones are mostly to stay with you for a long time.

Because I'm streaming all my music, including stuff I own from Google Play

Because I'm not using SD cards nor do I need the space of a 256GB phone. I'm streaming everything, including my own uploaded music, from Google Play Music.
