Sometimes you have to wonder if its user erorr as I have had my iPhone 5 since January no problems. Only thing wrong is a small tiny crack on the side of the front glass. Was totaly my fault. And it also sounded like you were pretty rude with the apple employ. Sounds like they have you a stupid answer due to you being so rude just my thoughts I could be totaly wron.

In this situation you have to be thinking user error. No one is that unlucky.

From your issues I would hazard a guess that you are a big fat guy who hacks and jailbreaks your iPhones or and this is more likely, you are paid by Samsung/google to post FUD posts on apple fan forums.

Sometimes I wonder about these situations.. You must really have the worst luck in general to go through 4 phones in a few months. I've only had 2 iPhones the 3GS and the 4S and both have worked perfectly for me for the 2 years that I'm under contract. Hope your 4th is your last.

Had a 3G previously, no problem at all. Had a 4, again no problem whatsoever, the 5 is the one that had all these problems

hi, im from sydney Australia. preodered my iphone 5 when it first came out and received it within a week. after 7months my lock button stopped working. one phone call to apple. they made me an appointment at their genius bar. the guy there took one look at it. and pulled out a brand new one in a minute. sent me home with a brand new iphone 5 64gigs and a big smile of satisfaction on my face!! i was smiling for weeks lol

their service? extraordinary!!! the iphone 5? an awesome but sensitive piece of technology. take care of it. yes it can break and crack and get damaged just like any other device. u cannot blame apple! i believe they have unbeatable customer service. their phones are extremely reliable, but please take care of them as u would anything else!! apple 4ever!!!

They refused to look at it on official 6.1.2.

Thing is I have no Internet access other than the phone so there was no way of updating it. I had to take it somewhere to get it updated, apple was going to update it in store but that was it and no testing for faults.
Now I know it is BS. Update OTA

I've had one of my iPhones for four years without any problems, and I tend to think I'm a pretty rough user of it. It makes me wonder.. if the quality of the iPhone is actually getting lower.

The next iPhone is rumored to be more durable, but that only will apply to falling damage I think :/

I fail to see how "scuffs on the sides and back" are considered the phone's shortcoming.

Power problems I understand, and buttons not working, sure - that too. Anything else SHOULD be paid for by the customer - Apple does not have to cover your misuse of the expensive device they manufactured. Just because you got it for next to 0$ on some phone plan, doesn't mean it's not a sensitive piece of technology that you shouldn't toss around, sit on, expose to the elements...

I've never had a phone last less than 3 years. I was a BlackBerry user until January when I purchased my iPhone 5 - made more sense since everything else I own is Apple for work. I have a trustworthy case, and treat my phone as the valuable, sensitive computer it is.

When I pay hundreds of dollars for a NEW anything, I expect it to look new out of the box. Not used.
