So is Apple going to comment on or FIX the popping noise on the new MacBook Pros?

if 12.5 hasn't done anything, 3rd party audio drivers might help; otherwise, you'll have to keep waiting whenever Apple gets around to it 🙄. Good luck.

It's weird - my M1 Max 16" doesn't pop since 12.5, so... they must have fixed at least one of the causes of the popping. But apparently they didn't catch all of them...
Okay, unless they pulled 12.5, you need to get software update to do a proper check. I know on my previous MBP it was sometimes ... stubborn... and there was a CLI thing you could do to force it to do a proper check.
But there is a 12.5 and, for me at least, it fixed this issue.
I was 'Stuck' with 12.2 as the 'Up to date' version... Shutting down the system and powering it back up allowed the 12.5 update to populate in the system preferences window.
After updating to 12.5, the sound has not been popping... so far *biting my nails*
