I want an 11" MBA for work. Do you think we are going to see changes in the physical design of the MBA or do you think the 2012 MBA will look the same as the current one, just potentially with improved specs?

I have an early 2011 MBP as my main computer. This would be my work computer (to carry to and from work).

I think it'll just have better specs, though one thing I've noticed with Apple is slightly better craftsmanship with each refresh.

Thank you! I'm generally a "buy it when you need it" person so I hate to be one of those "should I wait or buy now?!" people everyone loathes posting, LOL. I currently have an MBP as my main computer but want to buy the MBA as a secondary computer for work so I'm not lugging my computer back and forth every day. I know the new MBAs would likely have improved battery life and possibly more memory. Can't decide if these are things I should wait for or not. (I could technically get away with just the MBP now. But hey, it would be convenient to only have to bring the Air to work.)

If I were you I'd wait. The MBP should suffice for now. I have a feeling the next refresh of the Airs will have some nice goodies, but only time will tell. I think you'll be content either way.

Thank you. Think I'll wait. :) If I were computerless now, that'd be one thing but since I have the MBP now, you're right that it makes sense to wait. Thank you.

Actually, if she is old enough to have lived through the depression and/or war rationing or was raised by someone who did, I'm willing to bet that she demanded a refund or price adjustment. Value for the dollar is something that the "older" generation holds dear.

I was raised by tech lovers--computer professional dad and a consumer product loving mom--who are now in their 70s, and you'd be wrong to assume that older people don't take an interest in these things simply because they've reached a particular age.
