...and the iPhone 6S will be an incremental upgrade...
What, in 2015?
----------
So, why does everyone think they'll call it the iPhone 5, when in reality it's actually the 6th?![]()
Because the current model is not named based on its generation, why would the next?
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)
So they're saying the 6th iPhone will be called the iPhone 5?
Wouldn't "iPhone 6" (2012) and "iPhone 6S" (2013) be the expected names?
Based on what precedent? And besides the geeks on this forum that track everything Apple says and does, who else realizes exactly what generation of iPhone the current models are? What product does Apple have that they name based off of it's generation.
There is not a single reason with any backing to believe that a 6th Generation iPhone would actually be called an iPhone 6.
