the green doesnt seem that bad, does this happen in all the pix you take?

No, so far I've found that it's really only noticable when taking pictures here at work in the office which is a lot of off-white and a lot of flouresent lighting.

Not a huge deal, but still dissappointing.

I think it's less noticeable in the first image because the blob is centered over a shaded area. It would probably be more noticeable if you took a photo of just a white wall.

Hopefully you get a better one next time!

The pic on the old post does have greenish blob on it. Try taking a pic of the same area with new phone and if possible at the same time of day since outside light will affect the white balance.

Hm, so are people getting replacements for this that actually have the problem fixed? My 5 day old ip4 does this.

I can't honestly believe the odds of this

I get asked all the time if I like my iPhone 4 and whether it "works." Everyone I meet, that asks about the phone, wants one but is worried that it won't work. I'm a long time :apple: fan and I'm not happy with the stigma this new phone has.

So today I'm planning to take my phone back to BB because the camera has a pixelation issue in certain situations and it seems to have gotten worse. Before this I go to a local restaurant to eat and the waitress asks how I like my phone. I said I loved it. She says 'I hear they have a lot of issues with the signal.' So I tell her that most models are having issues and that I don't really notice anything major because I always have a case on it etc...

A little later I go to BB to get my replacement and the LP guy at the door says something about me bringing it back. Like they 'get this a lot.'

Then, while I was waiting my turn in Mobile a gentleman and I got to talking about why I was there with my iPhone 4 and I explained about it. I asked why he was there, he was getting an 3GS and I talked to him about the advantages of the 4 over the 3GS because he said he didn't know what was different. He then asks about the issues that he's heard about. I told him my only issue was the camera other than that the phone was perfect. And it has been.

Then it's my turn for a new phone. We go through the whole changing IMEI and SIM #s and I take the new phone and take a photo of a white wall. There's a green spot in the middle. I knew to check it out and I was really glad that I checked. Then we got ANOTHER one out and the green spot was even worse! The guy that I was telling to go for the iPhone 4 looked at me and says "That's what you wanted me to buy?"

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

WTF is up with the iPhone 4? Who the hell made this damn camera? What is Apple doing to control quality? I'm getting seriously ticked with the current situation with the iPhone 4.

So now I'm heading 2hrs one way to go to an Apple store so I can continually go through these busted ass phones and get one that's working. Top it off it's a "refurbished" phone. That's another slap in the face since I paid FULL PRICE for a BRAND NEW phone. I didn't buy a refurbed handset that costs less than the brand new one but now they think that's what they're gonna swap me out with. Haha... I'm not gonna let that slide easy.

Yes, I'm in a bad mood over this day and situation.

Are you sure it's not a blur effect caused by shaky hands? I have not used any of the new iphones, but maybe they have a white balance options like digital cameras that get rid of the issue.

Other than the serial number, is it possibly to distinguish a refurbished iP4 from new? Isn't one as good as the other?

I can barely see the slight green tint in the photo from the new phone. If this only occurs with fluorscent light, it wouldn't bother me. I have never expected a phone camera to take pictures like a dedicated camera. To each their own, but you might want to consider whether you are expecting too much from a phone.

Well I am probably just going to live with it. But it is kind of annoying just b/c the problem wasn't there with my original phone. I do realize it's a camera phone but it really is a great quality phone that can shoot amazing pictures and video when it works properly. I'm a guy who is never going to carry a separate camera around with me so the fact that the camera worked so well to begin with was great. I actually started taking pictures which I never did before!

I'm living with it for now though. Until I hear that they have definitely addressed this problem instead of ignoring it I'm just going to keep this phone instead of rolling the dice on exchanging it.

Took me a second to see the discolouration, but once it's spotted - it's really obvious. I hope you get a decent replacement!
