Wow! I'm glad I didn't just jump right in and order it. It's pretty worthless if it doesn't stop
the ring.
Yeah I think that’s it’s suggesting the it’s the clamping force between the phone and the charger that’s creating the ring. People have reported that the wallet also creates an imprint on the leather cases

So for the magsafe charger, we need wait for fixing the imprint problem.
Also, is the case itself will leave imprint to your phone? because the case itself have magsafe in it. So will it effect your phone?

People have reported imprints on the phones when using the maxsafe charger but not when using the MagSafe case

The Apple Silicone Case has left imprints on my phone. No MagSafe charging was used, only wired via lightning.

Fortunately the imprint can be wiped off with a damp tissue. But it returns a few days later.

That’s interesting. So it must be the magnets inside the case that’s causing the imprint but can be intensified by the MagSafe

I have never gotten an imprint for the Apple Wallet. But, Magsafe charger is definitely leaving one. Does it matter what power brick we are using? I am using Apple’s 30w one.

I’m using the Apple 20w charger. It’s not the charger or the charging that’s the issue.

Maybe Apple should embrace the circle like they do on the clear case. They could make a circle on the back of the phone that has a slightly different finish but the same color as the phone. And we can all get used to the circle and like it as a feature of the phone.

After all the camera lenses on the phone or getting bigger and bigger and from what I can see people like it the bigger it gets.

If it could be wiped off, it must be a building up of metallic dust or something like that? There is no way you would be wiping off a permanent imprint from the magnets.

I agree but some people say it’s permanently marked their cases where some people say it just wipes off

Do you think the same holds true for without a case?
I tested it with a case and it definitely created a ring imprint on the case. It wiped off okay but nevertheless over the course of time that bring imprint will become permanent hi.
