I wonder how well this first new MacBook is going to sell. The price is quite a bit higher than I would expect the average person to want to pay.
I had he same question in my mind. Will the "target demographic" buy it?
I don't know.

In the future USB-C will be so widespread and cheap i wouldn't be surprised to see a third-party making a charging cable with integrated LED. Maybe even some sort of magnetic adapter to make it similar to MagSafe.
Getting a 12" retina screen in that small and lite of a package makes up for a lot in my opinion.
Somehow 12" and retina are an oxymoron to me. 12" is just to small for me. I spend too much time scrolling on a 13". Cramming more on a 12" screen is crazy.
That's why I plan to stay in native mode (and use my reading glasses).![]()

There is plenty of attention to small details on the MacBook. However, they switched to an industry-standard charging port. Also, Apple has positioned this more like a mobile device, none of which have charging indicators.I guess I just find it very useful. I haven't found any thread talking about this specific feature. I'll be getting one myself, it's just that this will be the first MacBook to lack attention to small detail.
