Pretty certain they delivered it to the wrong address. Was at home all day and never had the UPS truck drive up. Anyone have any experience with UPS and lost packages? Am I just out $1400?

Contact UPS, file police report if you suspect it is stolen, file claim, contact Apple.
@seezar @Shadowbech I filed a claim with UPS and contacted Apple, they also started an investigation from their end. All I can do now is wait. Super bummed... I was really looking forward to my new phone. Guess my old XS will have to last a little longer.
That stinks. Hopefully they can get a quick resolution that allows you to get a phone.
UPS can check the GPS coordinates of where the delivery scan was made and see if they F'd up.
This! My phone was out for delivery all day and never got here. UPS internal systems shows that phone isn’t even at my delivery hub but scan showed out for delivery today for me. Their systems are jacked up today. Hopefully it gets here tomor row but I’m not holding my breath
I once had a phone get returned to sender(not my doing) then the phone was stuck in limbo for 2 months before UPS could track it down. Apple spoke with UPS and sent me another phone and took care of it.
With UPS and FedEx, albeit more with UPS, I’ve had tracking tell me they tried but failed to deliver my package. Then the tracking says, “available for pickup”. Not specifically for iphones

I’ve had that happen on holidays sometimes. It’s really bad with USPS. I’ve not had it happen to iPhones yet. I feel awful for anyone it’s happening to.
Ya. I didn’t mean “especially iPhone launch days” to say iPhones weren’t being delivered. I meant that day in particular they probably omit other packages and drop them back at the hubs.
Hope your issue works out. Seems there’s been some exterior issues with shipping this year.
OP, you were already asked this, no response, but have you used the tracking info to see where it went or if it was delivered?
Bet this phone is delayed and not delivered. OP must be bored and had nothing to post about. Bet he will post later that phone finally came in. I get packages everyday from ups/fedex to my office. During this pandemic many packages get delayed. Doesn’t mean they are lost/stolen/delivered somewhere else. Every year we get 1 or 2 of these threads. Good luck.
@3Rock @sjperformance I did use my UPS tracking info to check delivery status and the proof of delivery, the only location info said "front door" and it clearly was not there.
Thankfully though, it was only miss-delivered to my neighbors house about 2 blocks away. I'm on a neighborhood text thread and she texted me last night letting me know she had a package for me. Practically sprinted over there lol. UPS driver put it in her garage... Crisis averted!

UPS lost two iPhone pro max’s. Mine don’t show as delivered though. Friday they said on truck for delivery, driver never showed, Saturday they said on truck for delivery, driver showed up, rooted around in his truck and then drove off. Today they said on the truck for delivery, managed to snag the driver when he was delivering a different package and he said they weren’t on the truck and to call ups.
Preordered a Pro Max for release date delivery. Showed as arriving 1:15-5:15 PM last Friday. Waited around and eventually it changed to arriving by 7PM. Still hasn't arrived. I've been in contact with UPS who is no help at all, but Apple is investigating it on my behalf and sent a replacement. Hopefully I actually get that one. 😬

UPS lost my phone as well. Now waiting for Apple to cancel the "shipped" phone from my account so I can try in-store or with AT&T. There has to be a better process for replacement phones instead of telling the customer to wait a month even though the shipper lost the phone.
