Glad things are working out for you. Inventory can be hard to find right now, but if you constantly search you will be able to find something. I was able to secure an in-person pickup for a 1TB 13 PM earlier today.
Yea I noticed one store has 1 in stock. I’m in no hurry just going to wait it out.

I had an iPhone 11 that was never delivered (albeit It was a paid in full phone and not ordered at launch). The tracking information confirmed that it was not delivered, The tracking info just stopped at some point, I called Apple and explained the issue. They looked up the tracking info themselves and sent out another iPhone 11 to me.

Yea apple was ready to reship in November. They didn’t have an issue with that, it was the trade window that was the issue.

My 13 Pro Max was lost in transit by UPS on the 24th and it took me almost a week to get everything sorted out.
Well I ordered a 12 mini for my son this week and UPS tried to deliver an empty box this afternoon. The driver handed my husband the box and he noticed that it was pretty light. Turned it over and the box had been pried open and phone was missing. He ran behind the driver, informed him and refused the delivery. The driver said he would inform the depot but this is crazy. Two lost/ stolen phones in two weeks. Called Apple and once again have to go through the refund/ replacement process. Sigh

Yea I decided to cancel the apple orders entirely and wait for store inventory. Ups seems to have a good racket going.

Pretty certain they delivered it to the wrong address. Was at home all day and never had the UPS truck drive up. Anyone have any experience with UPS and lost packages? Am I just out $1400?
UPS lost my package as well. There goes my iPhone 13 pro max… investigation under way… first iPhone I’ve ever had lost/stolen from UPS.

UPS lost my phone as well. Now waiting for Apple to cancel the "shipped" phone from my account so I can try in-store or with AT&T. There has to be a better process for replacement phones instead of telling the customer to wait a month even though the shipper lost the phone.
I don’t know about att, but the Verizon sale ended today. So might be a better idea to wait. It took 3 days for my Verizon credit to show back up after cancelling the order.

I've been frustrated the whole week trying to wait for UPS to be done with their investigation. I got their live map update on the day of delivery but never got my phone nor the delivered status (I saw the driver drove pass my place on the map). So I filed an investigation, figured it might be lost at the facility. This has never happened before... I'm glad I found this post cuz I was so lost after I assumed my pro max was probably lost. I will try contacting Apple tomorrow and see what they can do for me. šŸ˜”

I complained a lot, ran it up the chain. reordered on the 12th due to the Verizon credits ending, both phones showed up today despite the 11/10-11/17 expected date.

UPS apparently lost my trade in phone. After much time on phone someone finally said we may have misplaced it or ? Then I apparently don't have the right to submit a claim since I was only the person who brought the box to the store. I did get someone at UPS to submit a claim but it really says nothing and status is ? Then I tried to get a hold of Verizon to let them know and maybe they do the claim - gave up after 45 min on hold. Will try again tomorrow.
I wonder if someone at UPS and other shippers has organize a steal phone packages so they can resell.
I hope I don't have to pay for lost phone

My iPhone 13 was also lost by UPS. They lost track of it in transit. Sounds like this happened more frequently than expected. Will have to contact Apple to send a replacement :( ;( Don't know how long it would take.

Looks like the UPS sticky hands got me. I was waiting for my delivery- the tracking went from Processing to On the Truck for Delivery - then back to ā€œprocessingā€ in 2 days and now it just says they will update when they have a date.
I spoke with Apple and they are going to investigate and send me a replacement iPhone 13 Pro Max - who knows how long that will take.

Had my iPhone 13 Pro Max missing from UPS. Supposed to have it delivered 9 Nov. Never came. Tracking updated on 11 Nov with "check back tomorrow for update". Finally drove to the UPS center where it was last checked into near my town yesterday and they simply tell me it's missing. Called Apple last night and they need 3-7 days to investigate until they send me a replacement.

UPS has a serious problem from what I can see after reading this thread.

One question I have for those knowledgable, is there a market for stolen iPhones? Sounds stupid, but I would think Apple would have the ability to "brick" stolen or missing iPhones.

I had the same question…..can these ā€œlostā€ phones be used and Apple not know they were devices not delivered correctly or could they be bricked /flagged as stolen.

So back when the iPhone 11 came out my 11 Pro Max showed delivered to my apartment. Went on my lunch break to get it and it was not delivered. Called UPS, and the tracked it down turns out the driver delivered it to the local Apple Store. Had to force the person at the Apple store to check all the while they claimed "we don't accept deliveries of customer phones" turns out the actually had it.

Yes they can be used as far as I know, just not in the region they are stolen in/blocked in, if I am not mistaken.
There are global criminal syndicates that specialize in stealing these phones and exporting them to other regions to then resell or use for spare parts.

Here in South Africa we have had instances where a stolen iPhone is reactivated/resurfaces in a neighboring country or somewhere in Eastern Europe or the Middle East.

I’ve been very curious as to where my Xs Max that was stolen from me early last year has resurfaced, I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s found in Dubai or something.

That makes total sense. If only Apple could find a way to combat this. I'd be curious if Apple really even cares about the rise of stolen iPhones (especially through the postal services).

I got the same issue, first time for me as well.
iPhone 13 pro max gold 256gb for my wife, UPS declared it as damaged / lost. Device didn't even make it to Miami and guess what ?
Apple told me they won't refund nor replace anything and UPS blames apple. So no one will do anything, I've called apple 5 times already and no solution at all.

Thats really odd. I had no problems with Apple sending me a replacement. I think after my initial call with Apple to let them know UPS lost it, they already started processing my replacement two days after. Still won't get it till about the second week of December.

You are lucky, at least Apple is actively solving your problem.

I think now that there are more and more brand new/sealed iPhones being stolen I think Apple are probably beginning to work on combating it.

I think Apple were so focused on devices that are already in consumer hands being stolen that they were blind sided by the courier aspect and they may be realizing that the couriers themselves are very unreliable and so they will need a solution for that aspect to.

No, but they perhaps join UPS during these times for the sole purpose of stealing iPhones.

Absolutely. Trade in phones are particularly valuable in that all your data and ā€œFind my iPhoneā€ have been removed from the device so that there’s no way to track it. I had a MacBook Air that I sold on Swappa get ā€œlostā€ in UPS systems a couple years ago. If I ever resell another Apple product again I think I’ll be leaving Find my IPhone active until the buyer receives it.

Disclaimer: I work at FedEx.

We have one UPS driver in my area that's an ace. An old school professional who knows us, always makes his deliveries, never any drama. Just a smile and "Here's your package!"

Then there is a handful of substitute drivers. Their track record for even finding our house is under 50%. These scrubs drop our packages at neighbor houses regularly. And not the same neighbor. Not even the neighbor next door. Our house number is 17 and we have had packages delivered at #32, #41, and others. In one case a package requiring a signature was left on the doorstep of a house a quarter mile away with the residents away on vacation. The package sat outside, got rained on, and all UPS could tell us was, "Well, our system shows it was delivered." Geez, I thought FedEx had a patent on that particular move.
