Would they not have a "flagship/deluxe/top model" in two sizes? You really think that the smaller 4" size would just be cast off as the cheap option?
The 5C is a 5 in a different shell, but it's also a replacement for the 5. If that's your reasoning, then the 6C wouldn't be a 5S in a different shell, it would be a 6 in a different shell, and also a replacement for the 6. Which is why I don't think we will see a 6C next year, but instead the year after (along side the 6S, just like this year).
What? Why couldn't it be a 5S in a different shell? If a bigger screen is what you're getting at, the 5S can more than handle a bigger screen.
Oh wait, I see what you're getting at now. If they do another C model with the 6, they would have to do a Cv2. Well maybe they'll buck the S models altogether!

It wouldn't surprise me if they go to this in Fall 2014:
Top tier: The New iPhone (2014)
Middle: iPhone 5Cs
Free: iPhone 5C
Discontinue the 5S and put it in the 5Cs body...I'm sure they'll get some mileage out of the 5C as they now have with the 4S
This will let consumers know, if they want "premium" they get iPhone, if they want "color/cheap" they go for the C lineup!
