I disagree that everyone knows that. What its mainly meant for is for the people that WANT one and think that they SHOULD have done one instead of the current leaked designs.

Well the thread title is pretty misleading and vague. Anyone on these boards knows it's not going to be a teardrop design.

Obviously, the new iPhone and GS3 are two different phones...

You still haven't said how the S3 is drastically different design wise from the S2...
I just told you, the Galaxy S2 and S3 feel completely diffferent in your hands and they also look different.

The rumoured sixth-generation iPhone's design, compared to the 2010 iPhone 4, is only slightly different. Same dimensions (width), will feel just as 'squary'. Onliest difference is that it is longer, and some metal is used on the back (which doesn't make it less square or less wider).

That's because the S3 is significantly bigger than the S2 and it's corners are rounded off more.

Apple has no reason to change one of the best looking industrial designs on the smartphone market today. It looks good and works well, why fix it?

"one of the best looking industrial designs" < subjective
"It looks good" < subjective
"and works well" < subjective, I'd argue that the 3GS fits much better in your hands
"why fix it?" < the word 'fix' tells me that somewhere in your unconsciousness you believe the current design is 'broken' (flawed). How can you fix something that, according to you, isn't broken?

Is that really what you believe based on his post? Or are you arguing for the sake of arguing?

What he said^

I was never really a fan of the teardrop, although I did like the rumored screen size. But lets not go overboard with the "teardrop" shape here. It was only speculated to be a millimeter or two thinner at the bottom, then the top. And if made the thinnest part of the phone as wide as the current iPhone, or slightly thinner, well then internals fitting would never come into play. Its a dead topic anyway. We are not getting a teardrop iPhone. I am super excited for the new design. And you know it's going to be even nicer then what we've been seeing...just like the 4.
