There needs to be some sort of settings where you can set limits. A challenge should be challenging, but not take over your life.

Very true and also have rest days. Say workout 5 days a week and 2 rest days.

100% agree. I can't believe we still don't have rest days. If you are injured or can't do training for good reasons, it should be a way to set a rest day to not compromise all your effort of the week/month.

At least, they can set it up like we can't set more than like 8-10 rest days a month.

View attachment 760087 Completed 7 15mins workouts in 1 week yesterday.
Quite happy as it was from last Tues and yesterdays gym workouts.
And there's talk of trying weightlifting next week or two.

Mine just completed, and I haven’t done anything yet today.
In my experience, you likely completed it yesterday, but it doesn't pop until the following day. That is how every one of mine have worked.

For mine, as soon as I had enough minutes to meet my average of 48 minutes, it popped the next morning. It then ignores that I was averaging 58 minutes a day because it won't reflect the remaining days of the month. The up side is that I had almost a week of just needing to hit my 30 to fill the ring. Call them Rest days?

I got my April Challenge of 82 workouts of 15min or more this morning while doing a production printer install. I was sweating way too much way too early on a Monday!
So how exactly do you rack that up? Do you just list that as an Other-Open Goal and let it run for 15 minutes while you work, or are you using some other app to feed that data into Health? Roughly 3 separate 15 minute workouts a day boarders on the ridiculous end of the spectrum.

As mine was to close my stand ring 30 times I was worried the badge would disappear at midnight before getting filled in (yes, I’m still bitter about October!) but it appeared pretty much as soon as I closed the ring. Hooray!

It's like Apple is not even trying anymore - I got my May Challenge this morning and it said 'Congratulations, you closed all 3 rings for 30 days last month, let's see if you can do 31 days this month'. So just a normal challenge then...

I actually got my March personal challenge awarded just a few hours ago. Talk about late.

I kind of came close to my April challenge. 123 average exercise minutes and I needed 150. I knew I wouldn't get it this month.

I never got an April challenge, my May challenge is to double my move goal 15 times. Hopefully if I achieve it I’m awarded it I like my very similar March challenge wasn’t.

My May challenge is to close all three rings 31 times. No let up for me this month. (And, yes, I usually do close all three rings but my stand and exercise rings occasionally go unclosed on lazy days.)
[doublepost=1525160604][/doublepost]Obviously, it’s day 1. The challenge could well be something entirely different by tomorrow!

I cycled 850km in April. It would nice if Apple could allow me to set my cycling distance as a goal however it's no big problem remembering what I did the previous month.
Also completed 15 strength training workouts, I aim to go every second day so that's also easy to remember.

The challenges in the watch were good when I had surgery and to track my recovery from being bedridden for a month to being back to normal.

My wife's changed from Averaging 48 minutes a day to needing 153.7 miles, five days into the month. She achieved it yesterday, and the award shows that she is super human! This app is buggy as hell. Apple should clean it up a bit.

Does she have more than one apple watch?

Mine showed up for may as "double your move goal twice" just after midnight. I changed watches and went to bed, and this morning it is now fill all three rings, 27 times.

Well my April challenge has disappeared again without awarding me like it did in December too.

Even took screenshot when I hit it

No, she did try mine before she got her own, but that was unpaired months ago.

I realize we need a new thread, but since I'm replying here anyway:
My May goal is 43 15 minute workouts. That is just stupid. Why not 20 workouts of 30 minutes or something else that I can simply do once a day. I guess I'll be starting and stopping workouts in the middle.
My wife's is an average calorie count that is over double her current move goal. I'll grant you her goal needs to be bumped up, and she just never did, but she still needs way more than the 500 she typically averages.

For when I am installing printer hardware, I do use the Other-Open Goal, I end up having to do installs at least once a week. I then walk for 30min after lunch at a fairly brisk pace. Then when my work day ends I'll go to the gym and do some warm-up cardio (~20min) followed by weight lifting (~45min). On the days that I don't go to the gym I have some workout videos that I will alternate when at home, each video is anywhere from 15 to 35 minutes.

I've been doing a landscaping project at home all day, and have been using the Other- Open Goal in 20-30 minute increments to rack some up. Kind of a cheesy way to do it, but with my other commitments, it seems the way to go. Last month, I got early so I could get at least 20 minutes on the elliptical before the kids got up, then counted on my other daily activity to get me my roughly 55 minutes of Apple Watch approved "exercise" every day.

Definitely agree with this. Long term, it's not good to do intense or extremely long exercises every day. If you don't take occasional rest days, you are putting a lot of stress on your body and not giving it a chance to properly recover, and you are likely going to stifle your performance gains and increase your chances of injury. Even professional and olympic athletes take rest days. Note that you can still be active on rest days, meaning you can still do light exercise.
