I think your experience and opinions match that of the majority of iPhone users, it matches mine to be sure. Like you, if jb goes away, so will my iPhone.
Saw the thread title and immediately looked for MikePA's response. Gotta say, I'm a little disappointed you didn't lay into him. *sniff*

When does updating website means they are liable to do what is said? You can write that you are releasing a JB tomorrow and not do it.

huh? that's a horrible response/argument. Devs are trying to maintain their credibility within the community and their followers on twitter. i strongly believe they wouldn't flat out lie or just throw a tease out to everyone.

I am not saying they are lying. I am saying that they are NOT liable for releasing JB/unlock tool for anyone even if they state it in their website. No one should or have the right to be anxious because they haven't release their jb/unlock tools. No one should be anxious or shock because they haven't release their tools. Buyers should know from the beginning that JB/unlock is a volunteer work.

If you are anxious because the dev team said that they will release the tools in the near future then you should be a little more considerate. It's a volunteer work. Or if you are so anxious because of not meeting the 'date' then you shouldn't be JBing. If you are smart enough then make one yourself and use that instead of using dev team's tools cause they can't "do it in time".

labman and maturola replied to the entitled OP before I could and, to be honest, replying to every person who starts yet another thread on this same tired topic would be a full time job. I thought they'd slack off when the middle school's Christmas and New Years breaks ended but that has not happened. :(

And, as labman put it (paraphrased), some of us have been on the jailbreak ride for a few years, paid our money and had a good time. If it's coming to an end, mature people know this and get off the ride. Whiners remain sitting in the roller coaster car, screaming, yelling, stamping their feet complaining they didn't get their money's worth, thinking if they keep this behavior up, the ride will start up again.

if none of the jailbreakers had stated an untethered jailbreak was coming soon, I would not have posted this. I'm not feeling "entitled" in any way, I was just asking a question...

What, that doesn't work?!:( Apt analogy...
