Everyone considering the Marware DuoShell... DON'T GET IT IF YOU HAVE THE VERIZON IPHONE 4 OR ANY 4S. It was designed around the AT&T iPhone 4 so those of us with the 4S or Verizon 4 will have our mute switches partially covered with this case. It's a crying shame because I really wanted it.

Now to decide between these:

Case Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum v2 - Case Mate sent everyone who ordered the first generation Brushed Aluminum a free v2 of it. Even though v2 is more expensive because it is actual aluminum. Just a tidbit to showcase their excellent customer service. Don't know which color to get for my white 4S if I go this route.

Or I'll get the SGP Linear Crsytal or maybe Neo II.

Posted this in another thread, but here goes again. Once my orders from Graft and Lucky Labs come in, I'm hoping it'll come together to look like one of these two photoshopped mockups (I bought both backs to compare).

i want that case as well...i want the matte one in black with the black backcover

Those replacement backings...

Sigh. I simply do not know what to do about my iPhone 4s case option.

Firstly I would warn anyone considering those replacement backings for their phones to hold off. I ordered the silver one for my 4, and:

A) it's not silver metal like how it looks in the photos. It's shiny plastic.
B) it fuxkses up the flash because it doesn't have the diffuser like the iPhone backing does.

Anyway I'm torn about my next iPhone 4s case. I need something:
-super thin.
-which protects the glass when it's face down (I'll also use a screen protector)
-one piece design because I still do pop it out of the case when I'm stationary.

I am almost inclined to go with a bumper-only design even...but probably not. I want a conventional snap on case I think. One of the ones that's super thin that I saw reviewed online was nice, but didn't have the raised edges to protect the front glass. You drop one of those on the sidewalk getting out of the car and your front glass is toast.

It's too bad there's no such thing as a stick on skin that protects from cracks and breakage. Is there?

I ordered this case from Marware and received it today and it doesn't cover the mute button at all...

Behold:

It's off center in the hole, but not even slightly covered. There's no play in the case at all so I can't slide it over the mute button even if I try. Maybe you got old stock or something?

ETA: I just checked and the website has changed since I was there last week to order the case. I just remembered it used to have a drop down where you picked Verizon or AT&T, and I picked Verizon. I don't see that option anymore. I would shoot them an e-mail.

THERE IS...I saw a video years ago from a company who were advertising some skin like protector and they were throwing their iPod touch from second stories and whatnot..I want to find it as well.

Very cool. I might look into this.

Incipio Silicrylic case... Has been improved / tweaked slightly for the iPhone 4s... the bottom piece of silicone now doesn't come loose like on previous versions! Can't recommend this case highly enough! 2 Part, hard shell + silicone protection...

iPhone 4s case

I picked up the Otterbox Commuter case blue with white silicone for my white phone and highly recommend! :)

Fits my 4S fine and I bought it direct from Marware last week, but there was previously a way to pick Verizon or AT&T and picking the Verizon one got you the right version. That option was gone as of last night so I would email them if you want one.

I got this Casecrown metallic glider case today in black. Excellent case, nice construction, fits really well, and looks great on the phone. One thing to be careful of though, this case is SUPER slick. It's like I coated my phone with teflon. I'm honestly a little wary while holding it with this case on.

Is that a DuoShell?

Yea, they don't have an option to pick the Verizon one that I see. And all the reviews of this case by customers that I have seen said it doesn't fit the 4S. However, the one Mareware sells says it is 4S compatible.

Yeah, DuoShell. The whole thing is very odd... I guess I got lucky the day I ordered mine. It's a great case so I hope they start selling the compatible ones again.

I like the look so much I couldn't wait for the reviews and went ahead and ordered one of the new iSkin aura cases.

Just checked their site. Definitely would love to see your thoughts on it when you get it. Great design. Reminds me of a classier, sleaker looking incase snap. I am currently using the snap from when the 4 was released last year. I cut the barrier between the volume and silent switch. It's time for a new one.
