Hey folks! Was hoping to get some updates in this thread. So are we able to unlock a 3GS for any network now? I am so damn confused! I'm looking to pick up a used iphone, but I don't want to get stuck with a phone that I can't use on Cincinnati Bell Wireless!

Here's the correct answer to your question:
Any iPhone, iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS that you are able to jailbreak.
Any iPhone, iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS that you are able to jailbreak.
The General is right, as of now: currently any phone that can be jailbroken with publicly released tools can be unlocked with publicly released tools. The only iPhones that can't be jailbroken are 3GS phones already upgraded to 4.0 or 4.0.1 and the iPhone 4.
