So who is getting Street Fighter 4? EDIT: And for which system?

Just got it! PS3 version...

What a game...I like that they kept the old style announcer !

But i'm still not used to play arcade games on the PS3 game pad
 
Picked it up yesterday. Such great fun!

Only spent about an hour on it - played as Ryu and made my way to Seth on normal difficulty. Couldn't beat the bastard though! First round always seems easy, and then he goes crazy. But I also have no idea how to do anything besides regular special moves at this point, so I guess studying the controls might help! :D

First "cheap" discovery: Fighting Balrog, I could just crouch and keep tapping the light punch - perfect victory! :rolleyes:
 
Gave it a proper bash last night and was impressed. I still need plenty of practice though. My main reason for playing it last night was just to unlock Fei Long.

Played a few games online too.

Anyone else installed the game to HD? I did last night. Cut my loading times by about half and only takes up about 2gb.
 
Got it for the 360 (can't justify a PS3) and its pretty awesome but needed to train a little before i even made it past the easy setting. Definitely not a walk in the park to get all the Specials/Ultras handled.

How do you do that? I oughta do that for SF4 and GOW2. I have an Elite with lots of HDD space to spare :D

I have this game for 360 and I love it. As simple as it looks, there's a lot of precision timing required to pull off some good combos. I'll need an arcade stick for sure.
 
I've unlocked every character and I really like Gouken...he's bad.
To all you ken/Ryu/Sagat fireball spammers....I got something for you!

Fei Long
Cammy
Ken....he was my fav until I ran across Fei Long and his excellent combos.

The install option is in the games system menu on the PS3

If you have the 360 version and the new NXE - then simply put the game in your 360 and instead of loading the game, choose game options and install to hard disk.

On 360 with the NXE you can now do this with every game.

On PS3 only games that allow installation to HDD can be installed.

Thanks for this, I did it and it works like a charm.

Question about it:

When you play the game, does it now default to playing from the HDD, or do you specifically have to go to Games Library -> choose game -> play from hard drive?
 
Wow. It is officially confirmed that I am the worst player in the world. :) I played online ranked matches all afternoon, and it took me a good five hours to find ONE person who was not better than me! All the other people pretty much wiped the floor with me! :D
 
I can't say that I am very impressed with Seth as the boss character, game design wise. He's just so cheap. I play him on Easy with C.Viper, and I simply cannot stand a chance. He interrupts EVERY move or combo I can do. I can't fight him from the distance, I can't run to him, I can't jump to him.

Can you tell I am frustrated that I suck so hard? :D
 
I got an Xbox Live Gold membership upgrade this morning and SF4 online is great! I'm undefeated so far...but I only played like 3 matches :p

Seth is really difficult i managed to beat him the first time without continuing by pure luck. Ever since then i need at least one continue to get it done.

Much to learn i have. Thus far i've unlocked all characters so now i need to get some of them handles

I like that the game is accessible to newbies but if you want to go pro (really enjoy the good stuff) you start to feel the difficulty...timing has to be perfect which is difficult on a 360 controller and the joysticks are currently hard to come by.
 
Is anyone still playing this?

I found a got a little tired of it...rather quickly. Thinking about selling it, actually. Then again, the urge might hit me again in a few months... :confused:

Street Fighter III: Third Strike is a timeless classic

Street Fighter IV will fade in time
