What will you do in the future when Apple never returns back to the 4" screen sizes and the 4.7" becomes the new norm?

I'll just revisit it at 6s time. It's really a beautiful phone and the display is fantastic...I love typing on the larger screen, but for my daily life the size is a nuisance (from holding it to putting it in designed in iPhone areas in our cars & on & on..). I was looking forward to the ApplePay as well. I still have a week and a half to return it & reconsider but I'm pretty sure it's going back, just put the SIM back in my 5s this evening & was so happy.

Hopefully Apple revisits the 4" size with the next release - there's enough of a market there that other smartphone vendors target it, so maybe Apple will too, but we'll see.

I for one, will use whatever product works best for me, not listen to a herd of lemmings about how I should be using technology. I'll use my 5S as long as it's the best phone for me, and Apple can do what it wants. For me, 4" is the norm and the ideal size, so I really couldn't care less what will be considered "normal" in one year or two or three. That's not how I make decisions. Quit spending your time worrying about which way the masses are heading and be your own freaking person.
So tired of hearing this argument.

Okay fair. But what will you do in 5 years? 10 years?

Did you interview each of the individuals or just profiling?

I just profiled them. Problem?
>99% of people profile

They're taking away phones that us Americans should be using and shipping them overseas! I stand for my country before others.

Starting to get very concerned about the ear volume on mine. Had another long call tonight with someone on a landline and I could barely hear them. I've had 3 other calls which were also all low volume, it just doesn't get loud enough unless I'm in a quiet environment. I can't imagine trying to talk to someone from say a baseball stadium, somewhere near traffic, or even a busy office environment. I love the phone (6 Plus) but if I can't make calls on it, it's useless.

Returned my phone back to TMO. Beta iPhone 6+. Lets see how the note 4 turns out. I simply didn't like the 6+. I liked the 6 better as well.

I think it was less 'you should go with the crowd' and more 'what will you do when 4" screens are obsolete or very, very difficult to find. Which is an understandable question imo.

Totally agree. My 6 went back to the apple store. Reverting to my 5S. Hope they'll have a new 4" next year.

While the 6 doesn't wholly feel like an upgrade from the 5s, considering it's not a "s" version, I'm still keeping the phone. Why? Because I actually enjoy the slightly bigger screen and it's still small enough for me. I've owned every single iteration since the original iPhone, so it's not going back. Its just become tradition for me. Also, being a data hoarder, my 5s had practically 0 space; I needed the increased capacity of the 128GB.

I find the screen on the 6 almost perfect coming from a 3.5" 4. Tried the Plus and was just a tad too tall for the pocket. Are people ridding of the 6 because of the size, or because it's not a big upgrade? Is it the PLus that are bending or the regular 6 as wellÉ

This is making me concerned too! I find myself checking the volume button too often on a call only to realize its at max.

There is still a chance I may return my 6. However, the percentage of that decreases every day as I get more used to working with it. I am not sure how I feel about the slightly slanted text on the back though. It seems that you always have to just live with some defect every time a new iPhone comes out. With the 5 it was light leak, and now most all have slanted text.

I think it's both. It may just be a tad better than the 5s, but a big change over any phone before the 5s. The 5s was 2x faster than the 5, so coming from a 5 to a 6 is a pretty big leap.

It really depends on what happens in the future - which nobody knows. There is obviously a market niche for small high end phones, just like there is for the big ones (i.e 6+ etc.), with some other smartphone vendors covering that small one for Android.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Apple cover that niche (the 4" side of things), as well, in time. But we'll see. So I suspect its a cross that bridge when the time comes answer for most folks wanting the small form factor.

So who is returning there phones

I think maybe the 6 is a tad too thin but it's a beautiful phone. Thin is good but the line has to be drawn somewhere. If they make them any thinner there will be nothing to hold. I'm not going to return the phone but I must say the 4 was my favorite as far build.

I'm just waiting on hold now to cancel my order. I have an iPhone 4S. While the battery life sucks, it's been sturdy. I don't want to buy a phone that bends when it goes in a pocket. I don't always have a bag with me to put a phone in and frankly, I travel to Europe often. I want something that expensive as close to my body as possible, not in a bag that can be ripped or cut off.

I'm disappointed that Apple made something so very weak. I'll stick with my 4S for the time being and wait for them to make a phone that can withstand the pressure of a pair of jeans pressing against flesh.

I may return 6 for 6 +.

I really like the 6. It is very slim and feels excellent in my hand but I may prefer a bigger device. I have been thinking about it. Most of my phone calls are either through bluetooth in my cars or an ear piece. I review a lot of content with my phone. I was going to order a plus on launch night but my wife talked me out of it. She thought I would not like a phone that big. I will go try a plus in the stores. If I like it I will switch. I use the 6 two handed most of the times so I'm not worried about that. If it fits in my pocket comfortably I'll do it.

I exchanged my 6 earlier this morning for a 5s (coming from a 5). Happy with my decision. I hope Apple keeps a 4" phone around. it really is perfect. Every single corner of the screen can be reached by my thumb one handed. I also don't look like I'm holding a paddle to my ear when I'm making calls.

I am enjoying my 4.7", my Wife's 5S seems so small now!!

I was talking to an apple rep a few moments ago (for a separate issue) and they were telling me that alot of users of the 5.5" are returning and going for the 4.7'.

After trying 6 Plus I'm all in!

I have been using the 6 since Friday launch day. Tried 6 plus in store today and for me it's a go. The phone is awesome.
