I've had a mophie for about a year now and I also don't care about the bulk. I love the extra juice more and I also like that it's easier to tell whether the phone is actually in my pocket or not. The best part is just not even thinking about battery life in the least. It gets you more than double the battery life.

The other thing I love is that even after having it for so long, it still lives up to it's full charge potential. Perhaps that will diminish over time but so far I've used it almost everyday for about a year and it's still going strong.

I have a Mophie Juice Pack Plus. I don't always use it. I keep it near by, and throw it in my bag if I think I'm going to have a long day. When I need it, it's awesome.

I also have a Griffin Power Reserve Duo external battery. It gives me 30-40% charge. Also very handy.

I have been using PhoneSuit Elite for about 4 months and have been really happy with it. Basically doubles your daily battery life. Also gives the phone a fair amount of protection.

so no one has used the incipio off grid or the exogear exolife?

they seem to be the slimmest best looking to me. i think the offgrid only charges up to 60%, but doesn't add much bulk at all.

I have a iBattz case I like a lot better than morphie because it has a removable battery. The case comes with two Nokia type bp-4l batteries and come in both black and white casing. It's a lot better than morphie and all the issues I hear with a faulty morphie batteries. I can last while weekend with my case and extra bp4l battery.

I had the offgrid but returned it due to the black glossy case and it's a pain to get in and out of case but it was the slimmest battery case out there.

icase

I had an icase for my iphone 3gs which worked very well, bought it cheap like 10$ when they were closing them out. I wish they made a similar one for the iphone 4s

which cases have been updated for the iphone 4s?

I just ordered the Incipio offGRID for my daughter and me. Looks like the smallest of the cases so we'll see. I hate the added bulk of the other's I've seen and tried.

I've had a Mophie Juice Pack Air for my 3GS and I'm using one for my 4S. I've had really good luck with them - no issues and I rarely run out of battery. The bulk is a drawback, but I want good protection for my phone so i do not mind too much (my pockets are big).

The one thing I reall ylike is being able to use my phone hiking - with the battery pack Motion X GPS runs all days without losing power if you're careful about turning off Wifi, Bluetooth etc. I also make transatlantic flights with power to spare.

For some reason I get one and then end up returning it. I guess the bulkiness bothers me after awhile. I just got a mophie apple edition today going to see how long I can keep it.

Have you tried you phone without the extra battery. It might just surprize you. Mine has always done good.

I've been without a battery case for awhile now and just like to have extra juice while I'm out and not near an outlet.

I ended up returning the mophie and going to try out the Boost case. Hopefully this is the last one I try.

I have an Incase Snap battery case. Very slim and doesn't cover the sides so it adds no width to the phone - just a bit of thickness and length.

Will charge a near-dead iPhone 4S to about 50%.

I don't use it full time, just when I'll be using the phone heavier than average and away from a charger or away from the car.

My Incipio offGRID came today and I'm very impressed both with size and weight. My only complaint is how slick it is. I'm afraid I'll drop the phone. Hope I adjust soon because this very well may become my day to say case.

I actually bought the Mophie Case (1500mAh) at Best Buy. I really like the overall look of it with the 4S. It actually elongates the iPhone and somewhat maintains the integrity of the design. The only downfall, is this Mophie Case is somewhat slippery. It slipped from my hands a couple times. Fortunately, I had the iPhone over the mattress and once over the sofa. So I'm a little more careful with it. Pro: It actually provides me 4 full bars with the case on.

That's the problem I'm having with the Incipio offGRID I received yesterday. It kept slipping out of my hand last night while using it. It didn't fall far, but I'm worried about what will happen in everyday use.

the newer iP4 and iP4s design seems much better than the design for the 3Gs. I had one for it and liked it, but my original and then the replacement cracked where the volume buttons/cut-out is located. Cheap design. Hopefully the new one is better.

the reason I've not needed it is the new 4s (mine anyway) has terrific battery life. I have no need for it now.

I have the mophie. I put a couple of small strips of grip tape on it for exactly that reason.

Well here is my ibattz mobile pack

The removable back plate allows you to swap out the ibattz BP-4L battery with a second battery that comes with the case for double the juice. 3000mah totale from two batteries.

Try the iWalk. It has enough charge to top you up when you need it. Very small. About the size of a double A battery.

I use a small one as well. Picked this up at the airport one day just in case I needed it. More than enough to charge a completely dead 4s to 80%.

I like it over a case as it's way cheaper, smaller and is really only something you'll need in a pinch anyway so why keep a battery strapped to a phone when you don't need it?

Here's a pic of it on a previous generation phone.

I've had the white juice pack air since last Xmas. First with my 4 now my 4s. I wanted to get a new case for the 4s so it wouldn't be all bulked up. But I'm addicted to the convenience of the mophie. I don't want to start bringing a charger to work or buy a backup battery to carry around as well. I don't mind the bulk anymore but I feel like the 4s shouldn't be covered up haha.

I have a Mophie Juice Pack but I only use it when I know I'm going to be away from a charging source for a significant length of time (and am going to be using the phone heavily during that time). It came in quite handy last weekend when I was waiting in long GA lines for a pair of concerts--in line from 2 pm-ish on and the shows didn't let out until midnight. The MJP was perfect for that situation.
