I will probably wait until December when I become upgrade eligible. Not worth the money for more speed, video and compass!seems like alot of people are upset...
im guessing the lines will be alot shorter on the 19th

I'm not sure. I was about to pre-order when I got the the pricing details (after selecting the plans). They want to charge $18 for activation and another $18 for "upgrade fee."
I just might keep using my 2G iPhone after all. $36 in BS fees - BAH!
Ditto. The new stuff -video and voice control, mainly- is not a compelling enough reason to upgrade from my white 3G.
I'm confused. I have a 2G also. Wouldn't this be worth it?
I thought 2G iPhone users wouldn't get all the 3.0 software features like 3G iPhone users.
With the new plan, wouldn't you get a new 16G for $199 & $36 fees, plus the 3.0 software?
That beats the regular 2G doesn't it?
I'm not. Happy with my 3G. The 3Gs isn't offering anything extra that "WOWs" me. I'm one of the many AT&T users who are disppointed with having to wait longer for MMS though.
I know the site says arrives on the 19th but I just got my order confirmation email and its saying that it ships on the 19th and delivers on the 24th. I know this is just an estimation but hopefully it's wrong.
PS. I bought the 16GB white 3G S and it cost me $422.94 after tax. I bought my 3G in mid November, just incase anyone was wondering.
I'm holding out for the next revision. The macbook pro updates were nice though.
Yes, the Macbook Pro 15" brought everything I wanted.
I get to use the 3GS because my girlfriend is upgrading from the EDGE iPhone. I don't see a reason since I'm not upgrade eligible. When I do become eligible in March, I'll hold out for the next (2010) iPhone.
Great features on the 3GS though. And the new processor in the 3GS demo video makes switching apps look easier and faster than on the Pre. Still a couple of advantages to Pre's multitasking, but too much else is lacking.
i wont for sure, just ordered my 32 gig as i type
tough luck for those whose contracts are still up![]()
Right Palm is finished, lets see how many buyers will go for a Pre when they get an 8 gb iphone for 99 bucks.
Mebecause it would cost me $699, EFF THAT CRAP!

After two years of pretty lame upgrades (last year all we got was 3G, this year all we got was... well idk what we got this year) I'm expecting a NICE upgrade in 2010. I won't be standing in line until June/July of 2010.
