I purchased a Note 8 and really liked the S Pen, especially for just scrolling through the internet. I returned it because I am waiting for the Note 3. It seems to have the specs to be unbelievable. After I get it, I will have to get rid of my S4!!

Yes!

Note 2 is one of my favorites all-time. It's the reason why I love android/Samsung even more with Multiview, Pop-Up Video and S-Pen. I only sold it because I want the latest.

While I'm sick of Samsung's design & build, I love the features too much that I sold my hTc One & S4 and went out and bought the Note 8.0 LTE tablet.

I will buy the One Max & Note 3 this October.

I wish the screen was bigger. I have a Note 2 and looking into xperia z ultra with the 6.4in screen.

The Note III will no doubt be Samsung's biggest achievement, but there's nothing really there that can pull me from my Note II. The full HD display is not that crazy as I'm running on 1280x720 at the PPI of the retina iPad. Battery life already is amazing with the 3,300mAh compared from my previous phone (iPhone 5's 1,400mAh). I'm also packing a Quad Core 1.6 Ghz with 2GBs of RAM. phones these days are built to last way past the two year contract. My Galaxy Note II will last me up to 3 maybe even 4 years. Even if I have deal with 4.1.2. Perfect.

If it's like the jump from the S3 to the S4 I don't see any practical reason to go from the Note II to the Note 3. 1.6Ghz quad core and 2gb of RAM is still more than fine a year later.

I'm going to go with 5.0 as the last official note 2 software

Why not? As long as the footprint of the device stays the same, I certainly wouldn't mind if they squeeze in a bit more screen area.

Personally I want them to put a 27" 4k screen in my phone but keep the same device footprint.

If they aren't breaking the laws of 3D space / dimensions then they just aren't innovating :p

6.4 is too big for a phone. 5.5 note 2 was pushing it.

Oops, so I missed what he wrote about a 6,4" screen :p What I meant is of course the same kind of screen size increase as they did from the S3 to the S4.

As for alex2792, maybe a 6,4" screen device just isn't too large for him?

Maybe so. Who Am I to judge what his personal needs are but for me 6.3-6.4 is far too big for a phone. 5 inches is about right for me for the S4 but the note 2 and note 3 would be the limit for me size wise. 5.7 inch phone i could handle due to my hands but still not sure it would cause me trouble at times but it depends how you use your phone and if you have a tablet that you want to use on the go. I have a galaxy note 8.0 so when i need a bigger size than my S4 that what I would use that for. 6.4 would be huge in the hand i imagine.

5.9" being the max imo..

Honestly, one of the biggest determining factor for me between between this or the HTC One Max will be how that 6" screen will feel. I suspect it will be too big for me, the Note 2 at times felt a little too big and that was onlt 5.5". So far leaning towards the Note 3, but if the Max feels ok in hand it will make the decision much harder.

Yeah 6"+ is too big. We'll see..

TW consumes to much RAM (and storage) for my taste.

How much RAM will be available for 3rd party apps and so even if it has 3GB RAM?

Asus was ahead of the curve.

Galaxy Note 4 will have to come with a micro headset/phone because it will be too big

I've got one eye on this to replace my galaxy nexus which has served me really well. So far i'm liking what i'm seeing in regards to specs and i hope the internal storage comes 32GB standard but i wont hold my breath on that.

My biggest reservation is gonna be price. I know this gonna be close to £600 at launch so i'm gonna have to wait a few months to see if that price comes down before i make my decision. I know the current S4 has seen quite a drop in its price and can be had for almost £200 less than its launch RRP and that device was only released a few months back. So hopefully the Note III will see something similar.

Don't you at least want to see what the Note 3 looks like first?

Why not just get an Asus fonepad, the screen is 7".

ha or just wait for the galaxy note 8.0 3G verision...

to me 5.5 inches is the limit for a useable phone.
