What you always need to realise is that people actually come here in general with issues, so that kind of leaves no room for people with positive statements. Most of the time people having these positive statements don't even come here to state them in the first place.

There's always going to be problems with a fixed percentage of machines being shipped, this is normal and apple will replace those accordingly.

so true. I just don't wanna deal with IR issue or rainbow colored retina or creaking trackpad when spending almost $3000 on a laptop computer. you guys should start a thread for rBMP happy campers!

I had a 2012 15" rMBP and its screen was perfect, but then one day it developed this strange thing where one tiny dot of the screen was brighter than the rest. I had the screen replaced, no questions asked, but the new screen was definitely uneven. I couldn't be bothered to argue the case and accepted it and soon forgot about it.

Fast forward to December 2013 and our house was burgled. I've just received my new rMBP on the insurance and the screen is perfect.

It's luck of the draw, really.
