That Patriots bandwagon has gotten a little top heavy as well the past few years. Just turn on ESPN any given day and see it.

When you undefeated during the regular season and have a chance at going 19-0 people should be talking about you 24-7.

The Giants have made TWO pro bowl quarterbacks look really bad. Anyone think they can three-peat? If you were paying attention on Sunday, you would have seen that Brady doesn't like to get hit and made some really poor throws under pressure. Keep in mind the Giants have the best pash rush in the league.

All that said, I see another 3 point game in favor of the Pats.

the patriots will probably win by at least two touchdowns, and anything less will be the patriots playing less than 100% percent according to how they have dominated other teams when they are playing full tilt

this is a really mismatched football game so i think a lot of people who don't really like either team will become giants fans for the superbowl

i know i will :)

18-0 means you've done nothing wrong.

not according to the pats coach

when they don't kill the other team, but still win, the coach will tear them apart, and in the press

i know brady approaches the press very humbly, and i like that, and if they win a game by a small margin because they didn't play their full game, he looks as if he lost the game and doesn't mention that they even won

the patriots are perfectionists and won't rest until they win the upcoming superbowl, and do it convincingly, so they could be called a dynasty instead of merely lucky like a lot of people consider them

the patriots obviously don't have the same amazing legacy as the 90s cowboys or the 80s 49ers, or the steelers before that, or the packers before that, and the browns before that, and many think of them overall as a defensive team only

but with this season, and an emerging offense which will be good for years to come and potentially as big scoring as any in football history, they have to win this one and win it big

when the 49ers were a dynasty, they beat the broncos in their 4th superbowl by 45 points and their offense was considered the best ever, and probably rightly so...and it will take a lot more than just one good season, and a high quarterback rating in brady this one year, for football fans to consider the pats the same as the old cowboys or old 49ers in their glory years

i think these pats have the potential of becoming the best defensive and offensive team to ever play the game, in any era, but they still have a lot to prove

if they win this superbowl by a mere 3 points or less, they will never be awed in the same way dallas, the steelers, and the 49ers were when they reached four rings

there is a tremendous amount of pressure on the patriots even though they would win this game 9 times out of 10 against the giants

You actually watch Sportscenter?:eek: And you obviously didn't watch them earlier in the year...

Sportscenter jumps on any bandwagon and will milk it till it dies. Plus they replay the same crap over and over

Anyways, I wanted the Pats to lose the Bolts, but obviously that didn't work out. So now I hope they do. The Giants do not deserve the Super Bowl ring.

P.S. I see the first one.

The Giants have made TWO pro bowl quarterbacks look really bad.

The Pro Bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest. Romo is the most overrated QB in the league.

Anyone think they can three-peat? If you were paying attention on Sunday, you would have seen that Brady doesn't like to get hit and made some really poor throws under pressure. Keep in mind the Giants have the best pash rush in the league.

The Pats also have the best Offensive Line in the league, and Brady is the best quarterback in the league. Don't judge him just on his performance on Sunday. It was his worst game of the season. Don't forget, the week before he had the most effecient performance of any quarterback in NFL history (26/28, 262 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 int).

Even if the Giants do get pressure on Brady, their corners aren't as great. Cromartie + Jammer are one of the best duos in the league. If Sam Madison can't play 100%, it's going to be hard for the G-men to cover all of the Pats weapons if they're blitzing Brady.

The key to this game is the Pats defense. If they can do what they did against SD, they'll be in good shape. They need to put pressure on Eli Manning to hurry him in to making throws. For the first 3 quarters of Week 17, they didn't really put pressure on Manning and he played well. Come the 4th quarter, they started blitzing and putting more pressure on him, and this is when they finally came up with some big stops (including an interception).

i'm not invested in either outcome, but for sport's sake, i'd rather the patriots not to do it.
That way it would still remain something to be achieved. Besides, boston had more than their share of sports success in the last few years so let's pass it around a bit.
that said i am hoping in a triple overtime with lots of drama, whoever wins.

I hope all the Giant's fans and/or Pat's haters didn't mortgage their house or cash in their kid's college fund:

Tom Brady -- Cast Away?!

Posted Jan 22nd 2008 10:12AM by TMZ Staff

Just as Vegas shifted the odds on the big game, a seemingly broken Tom Brady looked good as new during a dinner date with his supermodel GF Gisele Bunchen last night in Manhattan. It's a miracle?
Cameras caught the Super Bowl bound quarterback strolling out of Butter -- without the walking cast he was wearing earlier in the day! Is he healed already -- or just really, really tough?!
Complete non-story, and while I think it was precautionary, I would love to find out that the cast was an attempt to F with the media. The media does have two weeks of nothing to fill

People have short memories..They forget that Brady was hurt in the AFCCG against the Steelers (in 02) and left the game with a bad ankle. He came back the next week (there was one week in between then) and everybody knows the story...

Now,back to the game..The Pats hung 38 points on the Giants in week 17. Brady went 32/42 356 2 0..This was without two starters on the right side of the Pat's O line (Kazur,Neal) AND w/o their blocking TE,Kyle Brady. Not to mention that Maroney wasn't running, and the O line wasn't blocking, like now. Pressure Brady? No kidding  What a concept. Eighteen other teams have tried that without success (success meaning a victory/Pat's loss).. Do the Giants have a chance?Of course they do,it's the Super Bowl and things happen..And yeah,I know games aren't played on paper,so save that argument....

His statistics say otherwise since he ranks in the top five in nearly every offensive statistic. That is, unless statistics are overrated too...Which if that was the case, would make Brady overrated (of which he isn't), right?  ;)

The only stats that really matter are playoff wins and rings, of which Romo has 0 and 0.

The paparazzi are a bunch of ****ing tools.

They just showed this video on the local news. The sports anchor said that Brady needs to start traveling with his offensive line. The paparazzi wouldn't get anywhere near him lmao.

Some of the comments in that story are ****ing hilarious. I saw one which was like "why doesn't he put a smile on?" Well maybe he doesn't like being hounded by a bunch of ****ing tool paparazzi who couldn't tell a football from a hockey puck.

he was covered well, neither brady nor moss had any problems going to other receivers. moss is really a weapon even if he doesn't catch a pass as he really opens up the field.

you are right. but i know they can get him more involved when they want to. didn't he burn the Giants in week 17 for long TD pass?

Yes, but the Giants were the last team to single cover Moss. Trust me come Super Bowl Giants will double team Moss, in effect taking him out of the game. Patriots will win with their other weapons.

I realize how Bill breaks down the players and tells them how many times they screwed up and how bad they are...of course he's going to say those things...otherwise guys get big heads and become complacent.

"if they win this superbowl by a mere 3 points or less, they will never be awed in the same way dallas, the steelers, and the 49ers were when they reached four rings"

in the day and age of free agency? It will be a better accomplishment by far.

I am hoping the Giants give them a whoopin'. I like Eli Manning and would love to see him take down the patriots. Alas, I don't think it will happen.

Huh? You're already putting a qualifier on a potential 19-0 season? Sorry, but 19-0 (regardless of scores.last I checked there were no style points for a win in the NFL) would trump anything that's been done before.Especially in the free agency when teams have revolving doors on their locker rooms..
