Yehh, but if it is CPU job, why when some websites are loaded some pages simply lag when scrolling? The CPU when scrolling is almost unused. My resolution is Best for Retina

I tested and I don't have the super "smooth" scroll but not even close to facebook scrolling!
If you want I make a video scrolling particularly this website.

Off course not ! Scrolling need power mutch more than some think about. Using a Quad Core CPU with HT don't show many CPU usage. Keep in mind that 12.5% use is one core at full load. Most people even don't care for this thinking the computer does nothing. For a Dual Core with HT, this will lead to 25% CPU use.

BTW, best for Retina is the mode with less lag.

On the rMBP, if any external display is plugged in, it automatically forces the dGPU.

But that's beside the point. Why do you want to get a notebook with 13" high resolution display just so you can plug it into... an external display?

And photo/video tasks are better suited to computers with quad-core processors. I think you want a 15" rMBP.

I ordered the 15" rMBP so I can plug it into THREE external displays. You cant do that with any other MacBook :)

Replacing a 09 Mac Pro!

Can it handle 2 external displays and run heavy photo/video editor without lagging?

Honestly, if you're doing heavy editing and require 2 displays, you wouldn't be thinking of getting a 13" retina. I find it funny people always asking this.

Chances are if you're a professional who obviously does heavy editing, you'd be using a mac pro.

The mac pro at this stage is quite pathetic unless you max it out. I'm moving from a mac pro to the 15" rMBP as it'll be more than capable of heavy editing on two external displays. The 13 however will not, due to its lack of a dedicated gpu.

Agreed, the mac pro is in dire need of a refresh but heavy editing still does a pretty good job and you still can upgrade the gpu yourself.

15" is the only capable macbook you would need for heavy editing, if you don't plant to do heavy editing and only doing light editing and need the added portability, I have no qualms with the 13" retina.

Hi folks, I made a video myself for showing to the haters a ENORMOUS resolution that HD4000 can handle nicely without any lag!!
The pic resolution is 10,400 x 3,597px!!!

YouTube: video

This is the proof that EVERYONE NEED!

Haters are welcome :D

Getting an Intel HD4000 for £1699 with 256GB of SSD IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE HATING ON!

I dont know what "heavy" you mean but using Final Cut Pro and other video/photo editing programs dont require Mac Pro.
My 2011 MBP can handle them fine.
The question is, what are you going to do with a retina display with only 2 cores and HD4000.
