When I was using my Quad G5 I was running: Adobe CS4 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Office 2008 (Word, Entourage, Excel), Acrobat 9, Suitcase Fusion 3. These apps were primarily for graphic design.

For browsing, I used TenFourFox.

Since I rarely delete anything, I've got apps sitting on my hard drive that I downloaded in 2001 or so.

I use the G5 for legacy support work with Tiger OSX since it supports OS9 as well when I was doing IT support for a non-profit agency. Due to COVID, I'm no longer employed with them, so now the G5 is used mainly as a sound editing machine with Sound Studio and also Video Glide application for capturing S-Video and Composite video sources from older VHS/Beta sources. Both of these apps are available for Intel, but I have to pay the upgrade fees. Considering that, the G5 was cheaper just to keep running those apps. I do everything else on my Mac Pro and PC gaming rig as they are more modern and faster. Hope this helps.
