Good job selling your iPhone for that great price!

I never bought the original as I am in the UK and EDGE is just not the norm. I will be happily waiting for the 3G model...hoping sooner than later as my current phone keeps getting stuck sending texts :/

I think it is great that there are some out there that are selling their phones for what they paid for them. For me the price of the phone comes second, the ATT bill and service (or lack there of) comes first.

Sold mine (see sig) on ebay for $400. I was using the cheapest Nokia phone that I had laying around, but picked up two (8GB and 16GB) refurb's from AT&T a couple days ago. Will be unlocking the 8GB and keeping 16GB until new one comes out. Should make a nice chunk on 8GB and hopefully break even on 16GB (unlock it when I go to sell) after the new one comes out.

I thought AT&T has been out of refurbs for a while.

To me my iPhone is not a toy. It is a tool to run my business. I could not ever see myself selling it and being without it for 3 months to make a few dollars.

Yeah I guess I could sell my Macbook pro and use my Asus EEE-PC to run my business but would I do that for a few hundred bucks? No way no how.

So while people can do what they want and I applaud them for making money why even bother buying a new iPhone since you clearly don't need one, and seemingly don't care that much if you have one, since you elected to go without one for what could be anywhere from 1 month to many, many months.

plan on selling my 1.1.1 otb unlocked on ebay AU for around AU$575 upwards, i bought it at the apple store in Chicago!! and i really hope for an aussie iPhone on a cheap contract.

but that BBB syncs with iTunes, which is cool- reminds me of my ROKR, lol

Yeah I think thats really cool that the BBB syncs with iTunes, but I will most likely end up getting the iPhone. Anybody have an idea of how much the 3G iPhone would be unsubsidized? I don't feel like starting another thread on this. I can't imagine it would be anymore than the current iPhones.

I'm not sure how they are gonna go about doing all of this unsubsidised/ subsidised stuff. So if you sign up for a new contract (i.e. extend for another 18 months) then you get the phone with a discount, but if you want to just continue with your existing contract you pay the full price. That's right isn't it?

Anyone remember when the iPhone was initially released in Germany (?), you had the option to buy the phone unlocked (therefore not subsidised) for $1000? I can't really see them releasing the phone without people extending their contracts.

I would sell my iPhone but I need it for the next month or so until 3G comes out

I don't want to buy a new phone for a month

I will just see what I can get for my iPhone when 3G comes out

Anything above $200 would be great

some very interesting responses from this posting

I also sold my iPhone although not for 450.00 I did get 400.00 for it. I advertised it for 350.00 and unlocked for 400.00. Previous to selling it it was untouched not jailbroken even. I used it since last august, as a replacement for my laptop. My business keeps me away from a computer most of the day and it is very difficult to carry a laptop with me. I also have a blackberry 8830, no data plan but I also cant wait to get rid of it. I did not have a contract with ATT and used the GO feature. Paid 55.00 a month for minutes and a data plan. I dont know how many minutes I had but it sure was handy when i couldnt get a chance to recharge the blackberry. So selling it was easy for me I simply canceled the auto reload from my credit card and sold it. Because I never gave out the number for my iPhone it was very hassle free. Second phase of the plan was to go to costo and get a 16g iTouch which will be returned as soon as the new iPhone gets released, and by that time I can say good bye to 10 horrible years with sprint! Hello 3G!

I must say though the 6 days I have gone with out an iphone has been an eye opener. The iPhone really is the easiest phone to use and the most productive. Ive had em all through Sprint. Cant wait till June!

I thought I'd leave my dumb question here to keep it on the down low ;)

I rarely come on here and when I do it's to read the news of the iPhone.

Only confusion I have is, will WWDC mark to announcement or the actual launch of the product.

Basically will it be ready to be purchased on the day it's announced, June 9? Day after?

Or the day they announce?

Thanks =)
