I like my iPad 2 just fine but Ive outgrown 16GB for a while now and have been itching to upgrade to a 32GB Mini. It's entirely possible the Mini is the best false Apple product ever and doesn't exist, but AllThingsD leading the current rumor and Amazon dropping their trade in prices then Im going to get rid of mine and see what happens. I locked myself into $330 value (which has dropped to $279 yesterday) so at the very worst then I will just use the credit and get a 32GB iPad 3.

I thought you were "required" to pay if you place the winning bid on Ebay?

As for CL You have to be very careful and patient. It took me like 2 and a half 3 months to finally weed through all the spam and lowballers to get a fair price on my wacom, cintiq. I had almost cut the price when I sold it. I also did score my deal of the year "new" Ipad 4g 64 gig for $500 bucks there as well.

I hate to hear about OP situation and having to sell fast. I became disabled 7 years back, a few months after buying an suv. And had to take a $3500 Loss and cut it loose to carmax after Paying Cobra on my insurance sucked me dry.

At least apple is the "import" of the electronics world, and are actually worth something If you do need to sell em.

Oh and I don't recommend anyone get less than 32 gigs on an ios device, unless you only plan on dealing with apps. I don't have a lick of music on mine and filled my 32 gig Ipod touch up quick shooting video. I cant imagine If I shot with the ipad and the much better camera. I have even used that thing as monstrous as it is a few times. Plus many apps are weighing in at a gig plus. I really wish apple wasn't so bloodthirsty on memory, and or offered a micro sd slot. I Know I lucked up with my 64, but I would have never gotten one this big IF the seal weren't so sweet.

the same thing happened to me when i was selling something that had a 750 dollar buy it now. the guy never paid and he didnt respond to email. seriously why click buy it now if you dont want it???. the weird thing is after relisting it a few times and no buyers at 750 with buy now i listed it as 600 as a regular auction and its bids went up to 860. the guy was a legit buyer and paid me.

in the end i ended up getting more by using a regular auction then using buy it now.

You need to wait the allowed time to let the buyer pay. And I can't believe that you'd buy the most expensive iPhone when you haven't paid rent. To each their own.

Keep in mind Paypal also has a feature of freezing the money for up to 21 days for various reasons including selling high valued items like cell phones. Even if you get the sale, it could be a almost a month before the money is released.

Then of course you have to deal with the scammers who will say they never got it and reverse the paypal money. As a seller, you have next to no recourse.

Even at 7.8% unemployment that means at least 30 Million people out of work. Obviously I WAS working when I bought it. And its hard to manage what you don't have. The wife watches kids out of the house and brings in very little income. I am starting a new contract job in a week, but when you're overwhelmed, 'managing' is extremely difficult.

iPad 64GB = $700+
iPhone 5 64GB = $400+
TOTAL = $1100+

You obviously had the money... You chose to spend a good portion of your income on 2 devices that aren't necessary. People should really stick to the "save 6 months of bills" before you buy unnecessary garbage. It isn't "easy" to save it, but if you treat the gradual savings as a bill you will be happy once you have it. I have more than a years bills saved which was possible by saving $500 a month. I still contribute $100-$250 extra to it each month. This was possible because I didn't buy things like the iPhone 1, iPhone 3g, iPhone 3gs, and iPhone 4 because I didnt have the 6 months+ money saved yet. Think of your kids before you buy things like these toys.

I am sorry for judging... My dad used to do the same stuff and I suffered from it. He bought a brand new Ford Mustang when he had 3 kids and only had about $100/month remaining income after making that payment. That same year, my parents wouldn't let me join field and track because they couldn't afford the registration fee of something like $30.

Gosh, there are so many scammers playing the sympathy card on eBay these days. I had my 5 day used 64GB black iP5 listed for $1200 to compensate for eBay and PayPal fees. I also had it listed also on our version of CL (Gumtree) for cheaper.

Through both, I had low ballers, but on eBay, I had a woman email me 50 times, telling me it was her sons birthday. We settled on $1175, then she backed out of it. Emailed me the next morning, saying she got a sealed white one for $1150 instead, but now regretting it as it's for her sons Bday, asking if I wanted to swap (wtf). I said no. A few hours later she asked if I would accept $600 now and another $600 next Thursday when she gets paid! I said no, but I have a portable EFTPOS/Credit card machine :) She didn't reply after that.

I sold it through GumTree the next day.

I suggest if you do Buy it Now on eBay, make them have to pay via PayPal immediately before the listing goes offline. You can set buyer requirements so they have to go through phone verification etc etc as well.

I just sold my iPhone 4 unlocked on eBay. I got paid the next day, but i spent allot of time canceling 0 feed back bidders bid. Why? Because i always state on all my auctions for 0 feedback bidders to contact me first, before bidding. Every time i end up with a 0 feedback bidder winning. They Never Pay.
I have been burnt 5 times with 0 feedback winners. I had it on Craigslist for 2 weeks the highest offer i got was $150.00.

Lol, try paying $10 here in New York. That's the minimum.

What A completely and utterly useless thing for someone to become addicted to. I remember paying 11 bucks for a carton of them , name brand back when I got suckered into that garbage 15 or so years back.

Lol, I agree. I dont smoke myself but being a student, I see a lot of my friends spending hundreds a month. You can get reservation cigs that aren't too bad.

Don't buy something unless you can buy 3 of them at once, hopefully you'll understand that. Just because you can purchase something doesn't mean you can afford it. Other than that, good luck with the sale.

I dont like Ebay Full Stop!!!
A few years ago when it wasn't really heard of it was really good you could make loads of money on it easy no worries at all it was like have two jobs. But now there is to much competition on there everyone undercutting everyone just to get that sale.I personally won't use Ebay anymore because of the charges etc now. I use companies that buy recycle electronics just get quote happy with it pack it up send it 48hrs later most the time you have your money in the bank or vouchers come through the door which you have select no question no messing about simple get the next electronic you want to buy

Sometimes you might not quite get the price that you wanted for the product but you are going to get your money and there be no messing around
Just state the product condition has it is because you could get money knocked of if its not in what you said
Some companies offer better prices the other just search the net and go with the better price of coarse

Make sure you uncheck that people outside the USA can purchase it aswell, someone purchased my Apple TV 2 from Canada it was a bitch the shipping was outrageous and I needed to fill out paperwork or something. I asked them if they'd cancel their bid and they did.

That's quite a broad statement and hardly a plausible philosophy to live by especially if you are young. You can be financially responsible without going overboard and having a fall back fund if you get laid off your job for a few months. Don't buy a car if you can't buy 3 of them is not a good philosophy.

I wonder if that buyer was really trying to sell a similar item to yours? So he used an alias to 'buy' your item, got it de-listed and thereby improved his chances of selling his item? You were his competition and he sneakily took you out of the game?
