You're not missing it because you know you're getting a new one in a few days haha. I sold me iPad 4 months ago (had two in household) and honestly, sharing one with my partner is not enough lol.

Oh I just realized that I said "Dinner table" when I really meant to say was "tv dinner tray being used as a laptop table".

Oh well. :)

Everyone understood the joke. Yeah iPads are so flexible in everything they do. Very Practical.

March 11th can't come soon enough.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm still buying it on day 1. :D

But I put my iPad on eBay and it's been in the box ready for the auction to end tomorrow, so I haven't used it for the last few days, and I don't miss it as much as I thought. I'm finding I'm just jumping on my computer a lot more because really 99% of my iPad use was for internet use.

Anyone else?

I'm the COMPLETE OPPOSITE! I'm going nuts over here. I keep stealing my wifes Macbook to use (i'm typing on it now) and she is getting pissed. I have a big Mac Pro setup in my office but I hate not being able to lounge around and am instead locked away in deep in the work dungeon. This next week is going to be torture!

On a side note, I noticed quite a few magazines had backup up in my toilet library...

I'm the exact opposite... I thought it wouldn't be a big deal not having my iPad after selling it but I keep wanting to use it.

I guess I didn't realize how integrated the iPad became in my life.

I cannot wait until March 11... i'm going crazy!

I thought the point was going to be that I miss my old iPad1 more than I thought I would after buying iPad2. Which I think many people will realize who upgraded.

When you get a bad case of splatter ass on the toilet you will remember why you needed the iPad in the first place. Much easier to bring in to the bathroom then lugging a huge laptop around with a dinner table lined up in front of you. :D

Oh my gosh. This is LOL funny. Gross :eek::eek: but funny.

Funny...my VAIO Z laptop is lighter than a Macbook Air, has way more power and memory, and sits nicely on the lap, believe it or not, given the generic name of these things...

iPad is just a luxury device that provides convenience. I don't miss mine having given it to my daughter, but will buy iPad 2 just because I can and it's convenient to use for browsing.

Another reason not to buy used.

I sold my original iPad weeks ago just ahead of the rampant increase in rumors of iPad 2. Purposely timing it for a high sales price it worked out well.

Afterwards I also found I didn't miss it as much as I thought I would. But then again, for me it's purely an extra convenience as I have several other Macs.

I'm buying iPad 2, but it will remain a pure convenience. If not for all the web research I do, I might pass.

Well, I sold my iPad to get the iPad 2...I ended up getting the full spec 11" MBA (love it!) because I found the iPad not to be enough when im working at the office.

I now have a iphone 4, MBA 11" and a 27" iMac. While I miss some of the luxuries of the iPad (mainly the larger screen), i'm finding that the iPhone 4 is getting much more use...which seems right. I thought I would really miss the iPad but strangely I haven't...perhaps the iPhone is feeling that void?

...having said that, i'll consider getting the iPad 3 as a lounge home device...assuming they give the resolution a spec bump.
