Yes, it's me again.
I have obtained another MacMini, a genuine 2007 2,1 this time. I'm in the process of giving it the same it the same upgrades as my 1,1->2,1 got (still working great BTW) and need a little extra advice.
The "new" 2,1 already has the same EFI firmware (MM21.009A.B00) as the other I've been running so satisfactorily, but the SMC is 1.19f2 where I'd like it to be 1.3f4 to run the same.
Am I being too ana_ (er.. picky)? or should I do the same flash job on it as the 1.1 got, to bring the SMC revision up to date?
As was noted earlier in this thread, there weren't, and still aren't, any 2,1 firmware updates from Apple. There's no Restoration CD for a 2,1 either - I checked. I see Apple does have an SMC update for the 1,1 - would that work or be harmful to try?
The new Mini has a T5600 CPU at present (C2D 1.83ghz) but I'd like em both the same eventually. I picked up a T7500 a while back (just in case) but it won't work on the 667mhz FSB.
