Yes it did, thanks for asking!

To my surprise it arrived on the day Apple said it would.
Yesterday, I had two deliveries before it arrived and ran to the door each time the doorbell rang...my wife got a good laugh (LOL). Worked until the late hours last night on a project with it (MacBook Pro came at the right time) so it is why I did not respond to comment earlier. ZZZzzzz.
Here is my thoughts after the first day:
Wonderful laptop! I bought it exclusively for
Final Cut Pro since I use the program the most and I am very happy so far with it! Fast!..burns through rendering in minutes instead of an hour or more (coming from a 12-Core Mac Pro 2013 and i9 MacBook Pro 2018).
Definitely a difference!
First, the pleasure and fun of unwrapping and unboxing it.
Apple's packaging and unboxing design is top "notch" (pun intended)

. even Apple's signature cardboard box that it is delivered with is intricately designed and very appreciated (as I am into design and like that stuff). Even taking off the clear plastic wrap is something to experience.
What was first noticed after the "
Hello" greeting (cool retro) is that Apple ships the unit with a desktop wallpaper that hides the notch when first opening the lid.
Nice touch for first impressions, but if you change the background to something else, it is noticeable...but not a game changer.
I could have lived with the previous 720p camera without a notch in the top middle...but again I can deal with it. In full screen mode apps adjust to it (bring it lower) and looks funny to the eye if you hide the menu bar...but...is a small sacrifice as
I am more concerned with processing and rendering power that I needed.
Keyboard is nice
(better of course than the butterfly - though I did not mine it), but it will take some time again to get use too, actually a better typing experience.
I would say typing long periods with the new keyboard is much better on the fingers. Apple hit a Home run with the keyboard.
The screen (of course) is nice. My tired eyes get a little strained at looking at the screen, but my eyes will adjust. This is probably my fault as the eye doctor says I spend too much time on computers anyway...not a choice..but hey..its a living..
The F-keys are nice, but I think it did not have to be so big as far as Apple's design choice going with the smaller Arrow keys. Big F-Keys are better when doing programing, but I do only a little coding now-a-days and more video editing. I have an Apple Mac Pro Black Keyboard that is great for Final Cut Pro with the larger Arrow Keys and plenty of custom keying etc. so I am good with the Keyboard on the MacBook Pro. I am coming from the Touch Bar and thought they had room for it on the top above the keyboard...Touch Bar was great for Logic Pro and some Final Cut stuff...but ok without it.
Work Related impressions: Fantastic!
- I have been rendering with it and so far..and I have noticed...
"NO FANS HAVE COME ON..." I had to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
- Running on battery for awhile and battery meter still says 90%. Unless Apple
purposely gages it to look like it is lasting (as they did sometime ago with the iPhone..), I am very impressed with it so far. Battery life a Plus!
- I set the new power setting (when plugged-in only) to High to see if there are any differences, but have not noticed anything yet...fans to do come on either.
- Have it hooked up to my 4K LG 27UL850 monitor through HDMI using it as a secondary monitor....nice...
Conclusion:
Finally...after Mac Pro 2013 (liked) and MacBook Pro 2018 (liked)...I have a unit (so far) that looks like to will meet my demands and maybe beyond.
I can relax some until the end-of-the-month when the Credit Card bill comes...but...
by then...if it continues to be a blessing (i.e. reduction of workload, saving time, reduce late nights, not waiting for rendering - though it is the time I read MacRumors..
This might POSSIBLY BE THE BEST COMPUTER I HAVE EVER OWN. And I have owned many in my days.
