Only the robber barons in the first few rows have enough room to open a 15” laptop anymore, but I don’t really mind having an excuse not to even try...

Apple needs to implement a reversed screen mode so we can just put a mirror on the palm rest and type with the display half closed...

Just because some airlines decided to overreact and ban stuff that’s not even problem, doesn’t mean there is some crisis at Apple. This is limited to a specific model year.
Is it ever possible for you to admit Apple's made a mistake or their products are subpar?

What would happen if a die-hard Apple believer just ignored the FA's and continued to use it on board? Its not like they can stop and kick you out.

Good lord. Owning a few shares of AAPL doesn’t make you the voice of the shareholders. Ask me how I know, Mr Gekko.

For last 5 year, AAPL up from 98 to 209. Investors are quite happy with Mr. Cook. Facts matter.

A well deserved jail sentence.

It's not airliners job to police and ask every single communicate person "Is this a 15' model" ? Because you can just lie just to keep using it..

Otherwise, you'd have people having serious injury from issues, then the same people would push it to the airline "should have done more"

Well, they DID. They warned you.

The airline could ban you.

words like Could, and would, are not the same things. Depending i reckon upon 'what they think based on the cause or seriousness."

Let us know when Apple has to cancel an entire product line after issuing two separate recalls (like the Note 7 - the biggest disaster ever in the history of consumer electronics).

Disaster. Absolute brand image disaster.

Tim Cook is the reason for decreased iPhone sales, NOT people not willing to upgrade.

Wake UP shareholders. Good lord. The guy is not CEO material.

Really? Single handedly making Apple the richest, largest company in the world does not maketh a good CEO? Damn you're tough.

I'm still confused why my mid 2015 isn't eligible for repair. It was bought in March 2016. Are not all batteries affected?

It’s a damn disaster no matter how you try to spin this. Yeah, is one model. But they all look alike and airlines aren’t going to take the time to figure out which model or year it is. This will be the cause of countless headaches and a DISASTROUS hit to brand image. Yeesh. And as far as Apple being a service / wearables company, LOL. That all hinges on iPhone. No Apple Watch success without iPhone. No iCloud success without iPhone. No Apple Music without iPhone etc. I don’t care where their revenue comes from, pretending like they aren’t an iPhone company is simply delusional. It’s still 48% of their revenue.
Your response is one of those top notch comments from a customer. Congratulations. :p

This is what happens when you never redesign your products in a decade.

I’m on the side of the airlines here. How can they tell a 2015 Mac from a 2017? We could buy the keyboard and USB ports maybe. But you can’t train thousands of personal on such minute differences

Any charged battery can cause a fire if shorted.
While this is true, I believe what the guy you quoted wants to outline the potential damage caused by a failed battery. And his conclusion is Li-Ion and lithium metal battery are more dangerous than LiCd when incident happens.
