Can anyone confirm if the status on the program recall page will change from "The serial number you entered may be eligible for this program", to something along the line of not eligible after the battery has been replaced?

Some Airlines Banning All MacBook Pros From Checked Luggage and Preventing Use During Flights

You forgot the second part

Great. That'll teach all the workaholics to relax and enjoy life for once... Now they have a genuine excise not to work. When people are told to work overtime, the complain. When people are told not to work overtime, they complain. What the actual fudge?!?

Disaster. Absolute brand image disaster.

Tim Cook is the reason for decreased iPhone sales, NOT people not willing to upgrade.

Wake UP shareholders. Good lord. The guy is not CEO material.

Roll em again! They thought a 12% or 17% whatever it was drop off in iPhone sales was bad this last quarter, wait til they see how little interest there is to drop $1,000 on a 3 year old design now with an added camera square monstrosity. Zzzzzz. Total lack of caring. It’s going a backfire in a huge way, watch and see!

Just thought I'd share the following for anyone who might find it useful...

I own a Mid 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro that isn't in the affected range according to the official Apple Web-site on the subject.

I live in the U.K and have just returned from an 11 night stay in Las Vegas, flying direct with British Airways both ways.

The British Airways web-site states the following:
"For Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro devices which are currently subject to a safety recall, one device per customer may be carried in cabin baggage. The device must be switched off and not recharged on-board the aircraft."

I didn't have any issues, at all, at security at either LHR or LAS airports and didn't get my MacBook out or power on during the flights.

I’ll bet your wrong on this.

I'll be doing a bunch of international travel over the next year and wondering if anyone else has had, or not, issues traveling with a 15'' MacBook. I know all about the ban and checking serial numbers. I just can't find much recent info. Korean Air says almost all Vietnamese airports have banned it from flying.

Anyone?
