I got my EarPods 3 pro I love it no issues at all good battery life through the day but one just AirPod Case got charge it up all the time in 24 hours come on

You know bugs are attracted to rotten apples. I would have thought Apple could fix this issue considering this is their 8th release of the AirPod product line up.

Same thing happened with my original APP. Out of nowhere unbearably loud static noises would occur whenever I popped them in my ears.

However the static noise would subside once sounds were actually played. It went on for so long that I developed a trick to forgo the static noise by placing the buds in my palm for awhile before placing them in my ears.

I used my palm to activate the sensor which in turn would trigger the static, once it subsided I would then place it in my ears as normal. This only worked for a few months, eventually the static would no longer subside no matter what I did.

Interestingly enough, the static doesn't occur when in transparency mode. But to make matters worse, it happened right when my apple warranty expired...

I wonder if some of these reports are because they have hearing assistance turned on. They may have turned Amplification up in the past and forgotten about it - it can sound like those descriptions. Note that that setting stays on even when the AirPods are no longer connected to your iPhone.

(My pair of AirPods Pro 3 are working great)

On my APP3 I noticed last week that there is a very faint “white air” I wouldn’t even call it white noise. I only notice it with ANC on and when nothing is playing.

Never had this happen with APP2.

I don’t know if I have this or not. My tinnitus would block a noise like that. I had no problems with my AirPods Pro 2. I traded them in for these Pro 3s.

The seashore noise was very much present on Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds. It’s a “normal” byproduct of strong noise cancellation on such earbuds.

To save a click, I'll just c+p the main part:

My trouble came at 39,000 feet when I first noticed a high-pitched whine coming from my left AirPod. The issue was that the AirPod’s ear seal kept loosening, leading to a noise-cancellation feedback loop and a painfully loud piercing screech from the AirPod. Attempts to readjust worsened the feedback, especially if I accidentally covered the external microphone with my finger. This happened multiple times, making the experience so unpleasant that I eventually switched to my spare EarPods for the remainder of the flight. While disappointed, I wasn’t ready to condemn the headphones yet; perhaps the medium seal worked fine on terra firma, but on flights, I might need a different size for a better seal.

After landing, I tested the tips and switched from a Medium to Extra Small (Apple offers XXS, XS, S, M, or L tips for AirPods Pro 3). Both XS and M tips sealed well and were comfortable for long wear. For weeks, I couldn’t reproduce the whistling feedback, and I forgot about it until my next flight earlier this week.

Once again, it was only a few minutes after takeoff that the painful screech returned. Careful adjustments or yawning would fix the issue, but only for a couple of minutes at most. I figured that the new foam tips were trapping more heat, reducing airflow and ventilation, and less flexible, and that somehow all that was playing a role in loosening the seal. And when paired with the aircraft’s loud, steady hum, a feedback loop was created. But day to day, this is a non-issue because I never encounter the same types of pressure changes and noises that would reproduce this issue.

Really concerning issue that seems to impact some people when up in the sky... I'm perfectly fine with my APP2's (lightning model no less, I mostly just use them for travel) and Airpods 4 with ANC for everything but if I were tempted, this would be something I'd have to be certain I wouldn't experience cause it sounds like a total deal breaker, changes to the fit aside (that I would also have to try out, since its a ymmv thing depending on your ear shape and size).
My APP3 do it. Right seems worse. Don’t have to be flying. Really bad sometimes and other times not bad at all. I do have the smallest ear tips in so I do wonder about feedback loop possibilities.

I've noticed a mild amount of sound quirkiness with my new AP4's when no media is playing; haven't flown with them yet, so I'm intrigued to see if my experience is similar to people with the APP3's.

Hopefully it is not a widespread issue and it is only a software issue. Would like to see a fix soon. Will be bad if it is like the issue on 1st gen AirPods Pro.

Hey Tim thanks for cooking our eardrums. Maybe Apple Intelligence can fix this!
Introducing AirPods Pro 4 with M5 chip, built for Apple Intelligence.

There’s a similar class action lawsuit in progress for the Gen 1 pros
My Gen 1s make this noise. It's most prominent when I have poorly fitting ear tips, but no matter the size it still happens, especially when adjusting their placement in my ear. At the time, I thought there was already a recall/fix/replacement program. When I made an appt with the local Apple Store I was told, "Out of warranty. You have 2 options. Keep them or keep them and buy new ones."

I certainly don't feel motivated to buy new ones.

Being slightly more serious, "whistling" in a speakers/mic combination (and let’s be honest, it is speakers we’re shoving in our ears) is usually feedback. And there are multiple mics on each earpiece. If there’s a small defect in either mic or speaker part, one might create an inaudible sound that the other pics up and then is reinforced and looped back. Another thing could be a type of "coil whine" from the charging area?

Another thing that’s apparent. If Apple is handing out new ones like candy on Halloween, even when they can’t find anything wrong with them, they’ve got an INSANE markup on them….just saying.

My AirPod pro 3s have also made weird sounds for the past 3 weeks. I also had the right earbud make a high pitched very loud sound when on an airplane with noise cancelling turned on. I’ve had transient tinnitus since it happened - I noticed it going to sleep after landing.

I spoke to one of the best doctors and scientists in the world last night and he said EMF is very poorly studied and to stop using them - and that they hope the tinnitus doesn’t establish a permanent pattern. I never had issues with the pro 2. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen - their are a ton of forum complaints and I’ve noticed there have been a lot of firmware updates attempting to solve what looks like a bad design and or factory run. Apple should recall them - 1 person with tinnitus from a dangerous product is 1 too many.

I can confirm that with AirPods Pro 3, I can hear a slight hiss, whereas with AirPods Pro 2 there is none.
