I did have errors and conflicts when updating everything except the Mac (can’t risk potential Sonoma bugs interfering with current projects).
Suddenly playlists would appear duplicated with a “1” at the end… i.e, if I had a playlist named “Jogging”, it would make a new extra one “Jogging1”. For all 50 or so playlists I had curated over the years.
Proceded to delete the “1” clones, no issues for a couple of days until I restarted the computer… reopening Apple Music met me with a completely empty barren playlist list, all of them gone, just folders (carried over from iTunes days) but without playlists either inside them.
The songs are still in the library in there, but all the organization gone…
But f-it, didn’t sulk on it long and ripped that bandaid quick… started from scratch with the 5 or so named playlists that I was using 98% of the time.
However, it’s enraging that they aren’t testing their own dog food, I must be quite the average typical Apple ecosystem user, all iCloud’ed, all default settings for the most part and still get bitten like so.
